Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
The plumber came promptly and was very efficient. His attention to detail and diligence was impressive. In addition, the price he charged was fair and he reused parts that he had in his truck, in order to bring down the cost of repairing my faucet. I will recommend Roto-Rooter to all my friends.

Technician was able to assess the problem with the floor drain in my laundry room and get the clog cleared in about an hour for less than $250 whereas other companies would give me options that would have costed me 3 times as much. Very happy with their service.

I appreciated the 30 minutes out phone call, that made it easier to plan; however, after my drain was cleared I was less than thrilled. I know drain clean outs get messy. I supplied a bucket and two full rolls of paper towels. When the service was done the technician was handling my credit card with wet drippy hands, he removed his equipment and told me I should let the bottom of the sink area air out as it was a little damp. He appologized that there was a few drips on the floor. I told him to not worry about it. I planned to clean anyways as I have 2 small children. I enter the kitchen and there are several small puddles, drips leading out to my garage, brown muck splattered on the front of my stove, cabinet, and 1/2 of my fridge. There was still broken egg shell in my sink, brown sludge on the clean out pipe under my sink, and a few small puddles under the sink. I fully expected to have to wipe down some surfaces, give a quick mop and have some soiled paper towels to deal with. This isn't the first time I've had my drain cleaned out. I did not plan to have to deep clean my kitchen because I had a drain cleaned out. I fully expect to have some cleaning to do- but muck from drain clean outs sprayed on lower cabinets and appliances isn't acceptable. Based on this experience alone I will not being calling Rotorooter for any future plumbing needs.

Action Services
This is weekend number two without hot water. 24 hour service? Laughable, unreachable at all contact numbers. Having to wait until Monday for a third attempt at fixing a simple hot water heater issue. Total joke.
Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ΒΌ-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
