Tips & Advices
In most cases, clients are not required to provide cleaning supplies when working with a commercial cleaning service. However, this can vary from company to company, and it's important that you pay close attention to the service contract to get a sense of whether the cleaning company will foot the bill for these supplies. Necessary cleaning supplies may include mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, grout brushes, scrubbing sponges, bleach, and all-purpose degreasers.
Most commercial cleaning companies offer free estimates, so customers should not typically have to pay for a quote. In many cases, the cleaning company will conduct a site visit to take a look at your property and get a sense of what will be required to complete the job. At the end of this visit, they'll provide a cost estimate for the task.
Pricing for commercial cleaning services can vary widely, with monthly charges running anywhere from $100 to more than $5,000. Some companies charge by the hour, while others have a fixed price for each cleaning. Costs will also vary depending on the size of the facility being cleaned; some companies charge by the square foot.
Commercial cleaning services typically do background checks on all employees, but you shouldn't take this as a given. If you're thinking about hiring a cleaning company, get confirmation that they perform employee background checks. Employees at cleaning companies have access to your property and valuables, so it's essential to work with a business whose employees have been screened for theft and other crimes.
Yes, most commercial cleaners will require you to sign a service contract. A basic contract should include the contact information for both parties, explain the services being provided, any timeline expectations, and payment amounts and due dates.
