Horrible service...purchased gift card for friend they could not accommodate even one customer. Wouldn't refund, just all together very bad experience :- (
My wife went to get her hair done by Kim and came back extremely happy. Plus I like it too!! They did a great job on the style and color. I think my wife has found a new home for her hair!!
My friend and I decided to do walk-in pedicures after seeing the awesome reviews for this salon. We were however, thoroughly disappointed by the service we received.
First, the nail technician actually skipped buffing and filing the nails on my big toes, and barely trimmed my cuticles.
Second, her polish job was very uneven, and I can see the layers of polish she applied, and where she missed large areas of my nails. She also didn't clean up the polish she left on my toes themselves, something I had to do when I got home.
Third, the salon says they offer student discounts, and 10% off for first time clients, but neither applied to pedicures, which I thought was shifty.
After spending $25 each, I felt that no tip was warranted.
Now, three days later, I have a strange red rash on the side of my foot, and am wondering if it came from this place...
I wasn't looking for a new salon. Kevin actually took me because my other salon was booked full. This was the best experience with acrylic nails that I have ever had. Since that time I have been going to Kevin for about 2 1/2 years and his nails are the best. They never have problems, and I have to admit--I am hard on my nails.
I frequently have people ask me where I get my nails done because they like mine so much.
Kim also gives the best pedicure that I have ever had. She massages the legs so well that I feel like I have had a whole body massage! It is such a relaxing feeling and of course, the pedicure looks very professional and stays looking that way for a long time! I have recommended this salon to all my friends and family. Don't hesitate to use this salon. Sue P
When I walked in I was a little apprehensive from the start, the interior was very unclean and not at all sure how they are passing inspections. Kim did not ""wash"" my hair, but began spraying it down with water (!!!!), and asked, ""how do you want me to cut your hair""-- kiss of death for a stylist, ask anything, but do not ask me how to cut my hair, ask me what I am looking for what I like, anything but that... Filthy, filthy, almost zero product on station aside from something resembling dippity do on her station, the floor and everything in eyesight needed cleaned. Decor is worn/ stations appear mis matched, and all together hodgpodge. I sat not knowing if I should give in to my fear to get out of there, but hey, it's only hair right?..
That being said, Kim is wicked good with the razor, I had to get over the fact she seemed ""put out I asked for it washed""--btw tacked on $5 for that little service.. She did dry it, and flat ironed, zero product but it did speak to the hair cut because it looked great-- mousse and gell cover a multiple of sins..
So I will say this, am I going back? I doubt it on principle, but if you arent' afraid of dirt, and aren't looking for a real warm, pampering, relaxing environment? Then give it a shot.. BE AWARE... :-)
BTW--used the AC if you have it !!! A/C constituted open doors, and flies all over, while I bathed in my own sweat.
I went here after reading so many reviews. I decided to try a pedicure. Wow. That was a waist of $30
My appointment was with Kevin but someone else started on me (he obviously booked too many appt's at the same time) Then the girl didn't know how to do a silver line across the french manicure so Kevin had to come help her. How do you not know that??
It didn't seem busy, just chaotic.
I was really hoping it would be all that the reviews said.
Sadly, I was very disappointed.
Would not recommend U4ea.
There are so many other nail places in Beaverton that offer better service for less $.
Kevin has been doing my nails for about two years. He was recommended to me by a friend who's nails I had admired.
I went to Kevin after having my nails done at another salon. I had them done on a special $25 for a full set. After less than a week my nails were popping off and a real mess. I was pretty unhappy with the work they had done.
Kevin to the RESCUE!!!!
Upon my friends recommendation, I went to see Kevin. Kevin does a does a fantastic job. My nails look fabulous every time I go see him. Kevin delivers consistent quality and appearance for a very reasonable price. I would rcomend Kevin to everyone and I have recommended him many times to those who have admired my nails.
My nails last 4 plus weeks or until I start to notice the growout. I am very hard on my nails and with few exceptions they have survive the torture I put them through. Because my nails look good and last for so long, I spend less than I would having them done elsewhere because I don't have to have them filled or fixed as often.
I highly recommend Kevin. He is kind, gentle and fast. I recommend you give him a try. You won't be disappointed.
*I've decided to edit this review from my original review because upon returning for next visit, I was very disappointed!*
Problem#1- They didn't schedule us for pedicures at the same time the way they said they would/could when we called. That was kinda the point to begin with.
Problem#2- My solar nail fill was awful. I really hate to be so hard on Kevin, but it was like he went above and beyond for my initial appt (trying to prove how wonderful he was- which he was) BUT THEN on my next appt, he rushed through it and filed my nails way too thin and VERY round and narrow-->Completely wrong for my nail beds. I asked him to not make them round or too thin, he said ""your the boss"" and attempted to fix them...but I still ended up having to refile them later.
*You should also know before you go that he uses solar gel used instead of the buffing cream. I understand what he dislikes about it (leaving little black dots in the nails) but dispite what HE claims about the gel retaining the 'shine'... not true. Shine doesn't last as long and it shows every scratch, flaw with in the first week.
My nails are thin and were lifting & cracking that SAME DAY. Sorry Kevin, I had high hopes, but left very disappointed :(
Kim has cut and styled my hair for almost a year now and she has always made it seem like I was the best customer at the time. She makes you feel comfortable and will talk with you, not at you and will listen, and answer any questions you may have. She is great.
Kevn has been doing my nails since I first had an appointment over a year ago when he was at another salon, I loved how my nails turned out, he just did a regular manicure the first time, but the next time I went in he talked me into the Solar Gel nails and I have had them since, I get fills anywhere between 3 and 5 weeks depending on how my time is filled and how my nails look. I love that he has 50 to 60 different options for color for the nails. I change the color every time I go in, I always have people asking so what did you choose this time, or what will you be choosing. I love em.
Kim and Kevin has made my experience an enjoyable one every time I have gone to them for a style fix. They are friendly and easy going people, but very talented and effiecent couple.
I recommend the Salon to anyone who asks where I get my nails done. I know several people that have followed through and enjoyed there experience. Thank you.
I went to get a fill today, making it my second time at Salon U4EA. I had a very good experience. Kevin is very kind and very good at what he does. The only downside to the salon is that it needs some streamlined decor, and a new paint job. I look forward to returning again in 3 weeks!! Thanks Kevin, my nails are beautiful!
