Because we were 7 minutes late to appt they refused to see my 14 year old daughters aching tooth. I would seriously question their ethics and morality.

AAA Excellence In Dentistry
Dr. Stratford has been our dentist for 40 years. He has responded to all of our dental needs and emergencies. He is highly skilled and meticulous in his work. He has kept us apprised of recommended dental practice for ourselves as new guidelines have evolved over the years. He stays abreast of all and is well connected with dental specialists so when needed he can refer his patients to them such as for root canals and bridge building. We have been blesses to have him as our dentist and highly recommend him.

I definitely would not recommend this office. We started going here because they didn't charge out of pocket expenses with our insurance plan, however they did bill the insurance company every chance they got. My husband went in for a filling and had to keep going back because the pain never went away. He got charged for every visit and they finally had to put a crown on his tooth 5 visits later. I've been to other dentists before that never charged when I had to go back because of a previous visit and they didn't bill the insurance either. On my last visit as I was checking out I asked if I could get a prescription for the pain and was told from the front desk person that the Dr wouldn't write one for me unless it was major surgery. When I commented on finding a new dentist, she just laughed at me. When the numbing wore of my tooth was throbbing and I tried calling the office. It said it was closed even though it was only 4:30pm and their website lists them being open til 5:00pm that day. For those reasons, my family and I will never go back there and make sure to let others know of our experience.

We sat here an hour past the appointment time. The staff is slow and clueless. Seriously would never recommend them or ever come here again. They only got a star because I was forced to fill in. In my personal opinion they don't even deserve that star..

I would not recommend Dr. Lee. I have had several procedures done by him and at the beginning I did not have dental insurance. Dr. Lee never gave me options and it seemed as though the only option was always the most expensive option. For every visit, I ended up in more pain than when I went in and with a lot less money. He had to redo all 3 procedures over again. When I went in for my crown (on my front tooth) I had to wear a very awful looking temporary for months because once the crown was on it was the wrong color so the temporary went back on so that it could be fixed. The exact same thing happened with the bridge. Finally, when I went in for a filling he drilled down my tooth to the nerve AND THEN told me that I needed a root canal. Once the root canal was done I was in pain for 3 days. I called the office and they said that it was probably just the injection site. The pain in the tooth got so bad that I couldn't even eat a banana. Needless to say, he didn't get all of the nerve out and so he'd have to REDO the root canal. I will be finding a new dentist.

I just started going to Rose City Dental, but so far it has been a great experience. I was a new patient and in an emergency situation and they scheduled me for the day after I called. Many other dental places had new patients booked months out. The longest I have ever sat in the waiting room was maybe five minutes. He was very gentle, even working around a cold sore, trying his best not to touch it. He also checked in often, making sure everything was pain free and going well for me as a patient. It was very comforting and there was no pain! It was good, and I look forward to having him as a dentist!

Kelly R Thomas, DMD
I am giving this business a score of 1 due to the poor job they did when making my crown. The crown was made to small for my tooth and they have refused to make it good. I feel that a good dentist office would have noticed the poor fit at the time the crown was seated and at that time have the crown remade. I filed a claim with the BBB and to date they have refused to answer the complaint. Thomas Kelly has never talked to me - his wife talks for him.I would not recommend this office for any major dental work.

I found Dr. John Lee and Farmington Dental Care through a Living Social deal for a cleaning and xrays and I must say the experience has been great! When I arrived the staff was friendly and helpful and I was taken right in, no waiting at all. The dental assistant/hygienist that cleaned my teeth (Barbara I believe) was so sweet and friendly and very thorough with my xrays and cleaning. No "rush job" because I was on a coupon (which I have experienced before)Dr. Lee came in and checked my teeth and xrays and then determined if I needed any work done. He went over everything clearly and told me in order which teeth were priority to get done. I went back this week for a new porcelain filling and the experience again was fast and friendly and the cost for this work was very inexpensive compared to other dentists I have been to. I have had a lot of dental work done in my life and this was a very enjoyable experience and he is so nice and straight forward with what I needed to get done. I would highly recommend Dr. John Lee and Farmington Dental. I have a 3rd appointment in 2 months for more work on my teeth and again the cost estimates are really a great value with excellent work.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
