Dave S. Carpenter
Carolyn is a true PRO at her task - most pain-free cleaning in all my life. Each step was thoroughly explained by her, then by Dr. Carpenter when he made his examination. The only continuing concern I have is billing/fees. When I called to inquire as to all fees for cleaning & request the codes for my dental insurance, I came away expecting to pay the full $185 the day of service. I was surprised later to learn at check out that was not the case. My insurance would be filed and any small amount I may owe would be billed to me. My only previous experience for services here has been cash up front, so the office should not assume patients are fully aware of billing expectations without volunteering this info up front when appointments are made. Aside from that concern, I am most pleased with Dr. Carpenter's level of care and that of his hygienist, Carolyn.

Michael J Jeansonne DDS
I would not go to any one else. Dr Jeansonne is extremely professional and personable. He has performed 2 root canals on myself and I don't have to worry about pain or discomfort while in his care. He communicates exactly what is happening and is quick!! Any time I know someone that needs help I refer them to him and every time I get such a great response from them about their experience. I have read those negative reviews and I just don't get it, I can't help but feel that those come from someone that is out to get him. I also have had the best experience from his staff, they are super friendly and make you feel just as comfortable.

When I initially called for a new patient visit, I was welcomed and made to feel as if my coming to your office mattered. When I mentioned the person why referred me, office and dentist immediately knew who I was talking about. That made me feel as if patients were more than a number. Dr. Carpenter was caring and pleasant, and informative about my immediate need, but also gave me overall perspective. He ministered to the immediate pain allowing me time to make a wise decision. This visit has me checking to see about using an out of network provider.

I just want to say thank you so very much. My husband has smiled from ear to ear since he left your office. He has not shut up about how kind and wonderful you all were to him. I really appreciate it. I have to say that I am wanting to come in for an appointment to get some work done for myself, but I am one of those ones that haven't been to the dentist since I was a child and I am scared to death. But my husband has really made it seem like I would be okay there. Once again, I appreciate everything. Thanks, thanks, a thousand times thanks!!!!

Dr. Stovall is one of the best dentists I've have ever been to see. Dr. Stovall is very kind, considerate, gentle and very skilled. Dr. Stovall has done major dental work on myself and my husband, he has personally called us after hours to check on us. Dr. Stovall makes himself available to you as a patient 24/7. Dr. Stovall's staff is wonderful too.

Dr. Baxley and staff are always greeting me with a smile as soon as I walk in to the moment I leave. This dental team knows their dental knowledge and when they explain to me about my treatment needs, I understand them. I highly recommend this office for both your cleanings and any dental work needed.

John Charles Clinkscales, DDS
The office is clean, the staff is professional and friendly and Dr. Clinkscales is an excellent dentist. Before I went to Dr. Clinkscales, I had not been to a dentist in about 30 years. He was very reassuring and compassionate. I will continue with this dentist until he gives me a reason not to.

Jackie is always so nice. I was able to sign up my husband as a new customer with ease. Carolyn was my hygienist and she has known me since I was a child. She is very sweet and the whole staff really cares about their patients. Love this place and I would never choose another dentist.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
