Desert Eagle Tires & Wheels
the quality exceeded my expectations. friendly, helpful, timely, professional. his "air" wrench has the correct PSI to stop at the correct limit, so, in case of a flat it's not impossible to unscrew the lugnuts (a prior nightmare - thanks to big o tires in riv). He even replaced, for free the valve stem caps (as i had lost 1).There are 4 such business within 2 miles. Price $35 flat - no mounting charge $ includes tax. Same price (or less) than the other 3. I know at least 1 other place didn't have the PSI "stopping" attachment. Quality - By leaps & bounds a cut above the others. Superior quality! A huge cut above the other 3 locals quality. I would never go anywhere else!

Express Lube
Today I arrived at 4:15 for an oil change/tire rotation. (They close at 5 p.m.) A very nice employee informed me that they could do the oil change but not the tire rotation because there was one car ahead of me. Really? She suggested that I have the oil change done and come back the next day for the tire rotation. I should make 2 trips when they had time to do both things? What happened to customer service? I have been having them service my car off and on for more than 5 years, but I won't be back. I will find someone who is interested in accommodating the customer in a reasonable manner.

Downtown Auto Care
This is the best shop in the area, because they're someone you can trust. If they can do it, they charge a FAIR price. If they cant, they tell you they cant repair it. Or, they tell you other things that are wearing, like 50% wear on brake pads.I had an a/c issue with my Honda CRV. Dearlership told me $1,500.00, because it needs a new compressor. Dave at Downtown Auto said, "Compressor works... no leaks...I just recharged it." With the other things I had done, I saved $1,400.00. Thanks Downtown Auto (Dave)!

Stallion Auto Repair
Absolutely FIVE STARS! My 2007 Mercury Mariner quit on me just as I was about to get on the 10 in Beaumont. It was a smelly, smoky mess. Had it towed to Stallion's and Sam really took care of me. He gave me a ride home, fixed my car the same day, picked me up from home the next day, and charged me a price that I thought was more than fair. I thought there weren't any honest auto mechanics left, but I'm glad to say I was wrong. Thanks, Sam!

New Image Auto Body
Les and the staff here are exceptional. They always manage to fit me without an appointment and have my car done quickly. New Image Body Shop is the only place I'll bring my car now. I highly recommend them! Great service!
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
