I frequently travel through here, and on this go around I decided I had to give this place a review. SO GOOD. The food is great AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Here's an insider for you, if you want to test if a Mexican place is authentic order some tacos, and if they automatically come with CORN TORTILLAS then you know the place is legit. That is exactly this place. It never fails to satisfy me. With that being said, it is authentic so DO NOT order an Americanized dish like Nachos, and expect it to be the best. These people know how to give you authentic dishes and soups. I most definitely recommend everything from Tacos to tortas to fajitas to God sent soups. If you want more of a kick ask for the red and green sauces. Their ingredients are fresh. Next door there is a small Latin super market so if you feel like getting some of your own ingredients and having Spanish night at home it is the go to.
I've been going to Piccadilly Cafateria since I was a small child. My best friend's mother worked at a bank downtown and during the summer, about once a month she would take us both to work with her and give us money to eat at the Piccadilly for lunch and then money for a movie at the old Paramount downtown. I loved eating there; the food was like my Mom's food. When my children were small their Dad and I along with several other couples from church, would go to Piccadilly after church on Sunday's. They do that now with their children. When my son who is in the Army comes homes, it is one of the places he wants to go to eat so a trip to Piccadilly is like a trip down memory lane for me. I hope they can manage to stay open. I will surely remind all of my friends not to forget about one of the best memories we formed as children.
I had visited this establishment years ago, and was please with all it had to offer. Recently I revisited for my birhday, and was completely disappointed. The service was hit and miss. Almost everyone at our table received the wrong order. My "top rated" prime rib was cut from the end of the roast, and consisted mostly of grissle and fat. Unless they make some drastic changes, I would never recommend this restaurant.
Sunday Brunch Mojo Pulled Pork! Two poached eggs over tastey pulled pork over Texas toast covered with creamy sauce. Great Tasting. Comes with hashed potatoes and creamy cheese grits. Wife had Brunch Burrito which was huge filled with 6 items. Chips are fresh & thin but dip is not regular tomato salsa but is tasty. Frozen Margaritas are reasonable and good. Service is friendly and helpful. Eat outdoors if weather permits!
My family and i have eaten at Superior Grill for years and have never had a problem at this resturant. The prices, the serve, and the atmosphere is second to none in Baton Rouge. I live week to week on a budget with a family of four and Superior Grill's are very helpful in this regards. Thank you Superior Grill and we look forward to coming back.
My better half and I walked into Louie's there was 4 tables dirty, there was an employee sitting at the bar in his own little world, the food was good but it could've been better if the bacon wasn't so hard the chilli had a burnt taste and my dessert was awful the brownie was so hard and old you couldn't cut through it with a metal fork.
We eat here alot because my husband loves the bean dip that you get with the chips and salsa. Service is always really good considering they are always extremely busy.Drinks are always good, I don't recommend the skinny margarita though because it taste just like limejuice and tequila.
I went there today for lunch. I had the blackened alligator for an appetizer and the blackened shrimp remoulade salad. It was outstanding! The service was awesome, too. This place is now officially on my list of favorites. I can't wait now to take my wife to dinner there!
HAMBURGERS & SALADS.BurgerSmith & Regular burgers (6oz) are great. Can add up to 12 items i.e. lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions, etc. for free. Can add other items like bacon, cheese, avocado, etc.. for small price. BurgerSmith fries are spicey good. Prices very reasonable.
My wife and I eat here all the time. I love their bean dip you get with the complimentary chips and salsa. Everything we have ordered we have enjoyed especially the grilled tilapia. The food has always made it to the table hot. Margerita happy hour is nice too.
