does a great job for a reasonable price! I currently bring everything to her...dresses, pants, shorts, etc. Thank you! Sincerely, short girl with curves :)
I live out of town and will not hesitate to make the 1 1/2 hour trip, to get perfect alterations every time. Simply the best...
Absolutely one of the best tailors I've ever used. My dress was a size 10 but my chest area only measures for a size 4 so he had to take up a lot. My dress is full of beading ,lace and details. He even had to examine and stare at my dress for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to take it in. All together I had that, the hip area, the length fixed and straps added. It is gorgeous! He is busy so I recommend brining the dress early, took 2 months to fix mine. Reasonable prices. Danny is amazing!
Danny and his wife are both AMAZING!! So, so grateful taking my dress to the Golden Needle!! Danny customized my dress EXACTLY the way I asked for and it turned out better than I had imagined. He is truly amazing at what he does. Being from out of state, I took my dress based on the satisfied reviews I read. One review talked about him being rude and bossy but that was completely untrue for me each time I visited!! He is honest, helpful, and fun, and is absolutely concerned with customer satisfaction! I would recommend Danny at the Golden Needle to any bride debating on where to have their dress altered.
I enjoy going to Joanns. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. If they don't have it. They always suggest where to go. But I find most everything I need there. Good prices and there coupons are great. Not miss and opportunity to go this store it is great.
MOST welcoming, lovable and kind husband and wife running a professional business. They are exceptional and consistent with their work. I am a long time customer and I have never been let down. Absolutely recommend this tailor shop location to anyone in Baton Rouge.
Because of my build, my clothes must be altered to look their best. I started going to Golden Needle about four years ago. I am VERY PLEASED with the service and quality. I agree the tailor can be a bit of a fuss-budget, but I find it endearing the way she orders me around - "Get up, stand up straight, turn around." I think the prices are reasonable, given the cost of women's clothing these days, and the tailoring results are perfection. Highly recommend.
My two star rating is geared solely to the employees cutting fabric! I have to agree with slrowe in that the workers in the fabric cutting section are extremely rude! As to mamajuju, how could you possibly respond to slrowe's comment like that? Were you there? I doubt it! In any event, the crafts are somewhat overpriced but the coupons do help.
Here's a tip: Save your money and skip the kid's cake decorating classes. IT IS A SCAM!! They get you to buy all the supplies AND you get to make a cake, only to find out it was cancelled and they forgot to call. This has happened to us TWICE!!! You get a refund for the cost of the class, but the supplies are easily double that.
No, I don't think that the previous reviewer was correct. Yes, absolutely you can get great deals on fabric and their crafts are competively priced, but if she says that someone laughed at what she was making, that's nonsense. For pete sake! Really? Go back to Hobby Lobby.
