The Child Development Cooperative
We sent our daughter there from 12 weeks until 14 months. She loved the place. However, unbeknownst to us, the staff had this idea that we weren't happy, even though we stated that we loved the place on several occasions. This all came to a head when we were calling to let them know that we wanted to put our unborn on the waiting list. One of the directors proceeded to berate my husband for 20 minutes about how we complain too much and that we didn't need to let them know if our daughter had diaper rash because they already knew because they are the ones that take care of her. I spent the next several days on the phone with the other director to try to come up with some sort of solution on how to move forward. Her suggestion was to just act like the incident never happened. We ended up taking our daughter out because of this. We were extremely sad about all of this but we felt a line had been crossed. Come to find out, the director that berated my husband has been an issue with past families. Overall, the place has a great program. It definitely could be cleaner, but our daughter really loved it. Be prepared to have to deal with some ugliness from one of the owners if you have concerns or questions from time to time.

First Step Day Care & Learning Center
Our son was at First Step from 2009-2012 and I am so very happy that we chose this center. The directors, who know EVERY child by name, and the teachers became like family to us. They went above and beyond to ensure that our child was well taken care of and would be a success once he started primary school. This is a larger facility, but the level of organization provides a clean and healthy environment that is focused on fun and learning. Not only do they teach a great curriculum, they instill manners and good values that any parent would find important. These ladies are true professionals at what they do and will bend over backwards to help with any need.

Mother's Choice Daycare
My son has gone there since he was barely one. Now they have four stars with the state program, and it shows! He has learned more than I ever expected from a daycare. I feel like he is safe, happy, loved, & learning. What more can I ask for? To that one negative review.. I'm going to guess those people are making that up, because I know they do have to ask kids with horrible to behavior to leave sometimes. I can't imagine that to be true. Anyway, if you have to put your baby in daycare, put them at Mother's Choice! I know with their new star rating my tax credit is going up $500. That's like a bonus for having my baby boy in a good place.

Mary's approach to career guidance is basic yet insightful - start with what your natural abilities, interests, and values - and let that guide your career path. Mary is passionate about helping her clients discover how to find a career or career path that suits them rather than prescribing a narrow list of jobs they should do. Her advice is insightful and she takes the time to answer all questions. I would recommend Mary to anyone who is unsure about their career path and even to those who are completely satisfied because she can help you uncover a hidden gem that you may have not known was there.

First Step Day Care & Learning Center
My son attended First Step from 2013-2014 and I could not have asked for a better fit. The lessons, structure, love and care was everything I could have asked for. The directors of this school were more than amazing and I will always remember the love and attention they showed my son as well as myself. My son was only there a year and a half and his last day the director cried her eyes out.

Pierson's Brilliant Minds Learning Academy
My experince with Brilliant Minds has been a great one! My child was above average when starting pre-k, the director and her staff has knowledge on what the children need to know once they start school. My child knew his manners and etc. I give this center 5 stars because of the love and dedication each teacher shows to the children.

Tips & Advices
Group counseling is when one or more counselors lead a group discussion, usually between five and 15 people. The group may focus on a shared experience or situation, and provide support and encouragement to the other attendees.
Each state defines its own requirements for what licenses and education are needed to be a counselor. It's common for counselors to have a bachelor's degree in psychology or a similar field, as well as a master's degree. After that, counselors should obtain their state license, and can move on to achieving other licenses like the:
  • National Certified Counselor (NCC) license
  • Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) license
  • Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) license
  • Forensic Health Evaluators (FHE) license
  • Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) license
  • Certified Family Therapist (CFT) license
This all depends on the patient's goals and circumstances. Some people are happy with their results after just a few sessions; others continue to meet with their counselors for years. There is no right or wrong length of time to go to counseling.
Anyone can benefit from counseling services. Counseling can help you gain greater insight into yourself; deal with feelings of sadness, worry, depression or anxiety; as well as work out relationship problems, trauma or addiction. Not every type of counseling service works with every person.
Yes. Except in very specific situations, a counselor will never repeat conversations from a counseling session. Situations where information from sessions might be shared include:
  • If the counselor believes the patient might harm him or herself, or someone else.
  • If the counselor wants to get a second opinion on the patient's treatment. If this is the case, the counselor should seek the patient's written permission before consulting another professional.
