American Plumbing
Excellent customer service. Cara, who handled our call, was professional and courteous on the phone. When an earlier appointment came up, she contacted us so we could get our gas line installed earlier. Mike and Tristan were professional and courteous and knew what they were doing. They did and excellent job running a gas line for installing a gas stove. They provided excellent customer service! Job well done and keep up the good work! We highly recommend them and will definitely contact them when we need their services.

Our water heater stopped producing hot water. In this day and time we are not used to not having hot water. I called American Plumbing. Mr. Smith recognized that I was panicked and stressed! He assured me that he could send someone out as quickly as possible. Mike arrived with a smile and politely introduced himself. I felt very comfortable having him in our home!He was aware of the nature of my plumbing issue when he arrived. Upon thorough examination he was able to diagnosis my problem. My water heater needed to be replaced! He quoted a reasonable price in which I agreed and he placed my water heater that day!!!He removed my old one and all scrap materials. He cleaned the entire area where he worked and everything was immaculate! I now have a “BRAND NEW WATER HEATER” and HOT WATER once again! Thank you American Plumbing and Mike for all of your hard work!!!

American Plumbing
These guys are the absolute best. I have been using American Plumbing since it opened nearly twenty-years ago. Mr. Smith, has always been professional and has always quoted a price before the work is began. Any proposals for large jobs have been thorough and well thought out and always given fair market value. This industry is often slighted based on the reputation of fly by night contractors which damage the community and the industry. However, American Plumbing has been around for nearly twenty years and I would not use anyone else. I just wanted to say thinks for always taking care of our plumbing needs. Thanks American Plumbing and Terry Smith.

Prairieville 24/7 Plumbing Services
Seemed like too much of a coincidence, and I thought it might have been related to the garbage disposal replacement (which was also a possible cause listed by the dishwasher manual). I left a message on Saturday morning, and they promptly called me back and arranged for Mo to come that very day. Mo looked everything over and confirmed that it was not a plumbing issue, but probably the motor and gave me a recommendation for a dishwasher repairman.

Baton Rouge Plumbing
I contacted Plumbing after reading all of the great reviews on here, and was pleased to discover that those five stars are completely justified.

loved the emailed question/answer option. called for clarification, got scheduled same day (small job). (5 stars)Technicians were scheduled for 2pm, called Brett at 2:30 to investigate where they were, they called 2:45 to say they were on over 30 min out. I would have preferred a call at 1:45 saying they were likely going to be more than an hour past expected time and 'can that still work?'

Mr. Rooter
Horrible experience. Workers were extremely careless. Problems not resolved and the work that was done has already fallen apart multiple times. Would never recommend.

Roto-Rooter
The name is major, but the performance is minor. No promise fulfillment, time wasting but the most important the impolite front desk attendant, who argue with you that you are wrong and they are correct and nobles. sorry to say this company doesn't worth to bear this title.

American Plumbing
Called American Plumbing because, I had another so called plumber install a reverse osmosis water filter under my kitchen sink. After paying $1,000 without success of getting any water pressure through the filter I decided it was time to call somebody else. I called American Plumbing and Terry assured me tat as long as i had the manual along with the technical support number they could figure it out. Well, Terry sent a crew out immediately. They checked out the situation and the plumber called technical support and found the reason for my problem.
Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ¼-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
