D's Tree & Stump Removal Mr
If you need to have a tree removed from your yard, Mr. D’s Tree Service is definitely the right company to do your job correctly for a fair price. We had an enormous (40+ foot) River Birch tree which needed to be removed as it grew too large for being next to our house (about 6’). We obtained a couple of estimates for our job and employed Mr. D’s based upon a prior positive experience with this company ~ 15 years ago, and we could not have been happier with our repeat decision! The owner of the company, Don Decell, showed up with his crew and they went to work like a well-oiled machine! It was a pleasure to watch this efficient and knowledgeable team as they worked together to cut our large tree down landing it safely away from our house and fence. The crew then descended upon the fallen tree quickly cutting it up and hauling off the limbs (and using a bobcat to carry out the trunk pieces) to the waiting chipper and dump truck parked in our driveway. The stump grinder came out next and the operator quickly reduced the stump to a pile of wood chips and mulch for our garden bed. The yard was raked and the driveway swept clean. The entire process was amazing to watch and took them less than an hour and a half! (They even removed the trunk of a Sago Palm and ground its stump up for us while they were there.) Mr. Decell told us they like to leave a yard clean without any trace that they had been there, and that’s what they did. He obviously takes pride in doing his job well, and you as the customer will reap the benefits!

D's Tree & Stump Removal Mr
Don Decell and Carl Babin run a professional operation that meets every requirement for doing sometimes difficult tree work. Their work is timely, coordinated, and impressively efficient. Without wasted effort the crew works steadily and safely, completing the task in minimum time. Their work is not finished until meticulous cleanup. I have employed Mr. D's several times to my complete satisfaction. Well done to them!John Bres

Bofinger Tree Service
It's not easy to allow men with chainsaws into your favorite tree, but these guys are artists...and my beautiful giant red oak survived the hurricane less than two weeks later without dropping a single limb onto the house.

Tips & Advices
Do your due diligence and always ask for proof of insurance and certification before agreeing to any work. You will also want to be on the lookout for telltale signs of scams and be cautious of any company that:
  • Will not provide you with a certificate of their insurance policy or only has general liability coverage
  • Declines to give you a written estimate for the job
  • Gives you bids that either seem very low or very high
  • Contacted you out of the blue to see if you needed their services
  • Has complaints against it from business bureaus in your area
  • Asks for payment before starting work
  • Doesn't have a fixed physical address
Tree service companies are also great places to get your wood if you happen to have a fireplace. Many tree businesses offer free delivery and stacking of hardwoods, such as maple or birch. These can make for the best firewood because they burn slowly and don't produce as much smoke as other types.
If you want to add to the greenery in your yard but you're concerned about the right species to plant or where to put it on your property, seek the advice of an arborist.
If a storm hits and damages your residence, a tree service professional is usually on your list of people to call for help after first responders and your insurer. A professional service can completely remove a tree or just prune and saw off its branches if a storm damages a tree. After sawing or destroying the tree, professionals can then remove any of the dangerous debris from your yard by hauling it off.
Some bugs burrow through the bark and damage hardwood and softwood trees. Depending on the species of trees in your yard and the region of the country you live in, aphids, the infamous emerald ash borer or other pests could destroy your healthy trees.
