Crispy, tangy Chat: was fabulous. Mix spinach pakoras were delicious. Date-tamarind chutney is PERFECT for this dish. it set up the expectations for the main course. All the portions were bigger then Akbar and the taste of all the items we had been trying had been consistence for the past 3 years unlike most of the other Indian restaurants. Sizzling assorted kabob platter was mouth watering. Tandoori Lamb chops were tender, delicious and melts in our mouth. my friend ordered Tandoori Lobster and he just loved it. Lobster vindaloo was done perfectly: the curry itself was not as spicy but very good, very much memorable and much better then Bombay Club. Karai chicken with fresh peppers, tomatoes and coriander has a delicious taste and wonderful texture. Bhendi masala and Shahi paneer with fresh ingredients were cook to perfection. All the food was really great but the kicker were the fresh fluffy and soft butter nan which complemented the rest of the food. We both asked the waiter and got plain salted lassi rather then mango lassi. It was absolutely refreshing. We both topped this fest with great mango kulfi. The kulfi itself is worth coming again for.. Service was excellent: attentive without being overbearing. Every time my glass was close to being empty, it was immediately filled with water. Decor here is nothing to rave about but its a quiet place for peaceful dinner. The prices are amazingly reasonable. Its worth coming here thrice then going to Bombay club once for the same amount of money. .

The reviews of the fare here are right on! We decided to try it out for lunch. The place is small, and located such that parking was a bit precarious (and had to be done in the next-door pizza place's lot). But once inside, it was clean, the service friendly, and the food, mmmm.... The Kebab Stop platter was delicious, and the quantity generous, served with enough side stuff to keep you munching. The lamb Roghan Josh was equally delectable. The pricing is slightly on the higher side, but overall, very enjoyable experience.

When my boyfriend and I found out we'd be moving to Baltimore last year, we spent a week or so checking out apartments in our price range (middle-upper) all over the city and were incredibly disappointed - they all had at least one glaring problem, ie no parking, ""views"" of gas stations or alleyways, bums outside, etc. and this was the ones that are considered ""higher end"" and at the top of our price range! Frankly I was terrified of moving here and living somewhere that I wouldn't even feel safe walking back from my car at night, or of walking past drug addicts to get into the (albeit locked and security-guarded) main entrance. I was so incredibly happy when we found Ambassador and they had apartments available! We live in a 850-foot 1-bedroom with a wonderful little sun-room and separate dining room, and we pay a great price that is significantly below market value for most higher-end one-bedrooms. When we moved in our unit was spotless and freshly painted, I have never seen a bug or anything in here. We have already recruited a friend to live here because he was so impressed with our place! Pros: VERY large units for the price. Lots of windows and natural light. Heat and water included in rent (great deal!!). Great views (we look out onto an English garden with a fountain! Never thought I'd get that in a big city!). COVERED garage parking (you pay an extra 100/month per spot but I think it's worth it because my car kept getting dinged up in street parking! Not to mention it's great not having to scrape snow off my car in the winter!). HUGE walk-in closets in the bedroom and lots of extra storage space besides. A 5-star restaurant on the first floor. Thick walls - we never hear our neighbors, ever. Authentic, 1930's high-end architecture and features, ie arched doorways, original bathtub and fixtures, etc. Wood floors. Clean units that are very well-maintained. Wonderfully friendly maintenance and staff (for the most part, see below) who know us by name even though there are at least a hundred people living here. Gorgeous grounds with large green space and fountain in the back. Safe neighborhood with a good mix of age group, with most amenities in walking distance. Cats allowed. Short walk to the Hopkins shuttle (which you can just hop on to get to Mt. Vernon, Penn Station, etc. for free!) Cons: washer and dryer are in the basement and cost $1.50 per load. Also, our unit does not have a dishwasher which gets REALLY annoying, but I know some of them do have dishwashers - I've also heard that if you ask for one as a move-in incentive, they will install one! Also, everyone who works here is INCREDIBLY nice except Diane, the manager - I'm not sure what her problem is but she sometimes acts like she's doing me a favor by talking to me or by just doing her job. Excuse me, my rent pays your salary! Also, no dogs allowed in the building. Shared water supply which is great because you don't pay for your own water usage but sometimes when you shower the heat fluctuates from other people using it at the same time. We're a little farther from the good night life of Fell's and Canton (not far from Mt. Vernon though), you definitely can't walk there, but for me it's worth it since those neighborhoods can get a little sketchy at night and I like to go out there but probably wouldn't live there. Overall I could not be happier living here. Do yourself a favor and at least come check it out, you might be as please as we are!

I was on a quest to find the best tasting Thai food in Baltimore. One of the first places I went was the Talay Thai Grille. Since then, every other Thai place I have been to pales in comparison. The food is incredible, the service is great and there is never a wait to get a table. If you decide to go, you must try the ""Shrimp Pad Thai"".

Very pleasantly surprised with decor and feel of restaurant. Beautifully decorated. Very warm and inviting. Service was wonderful. Best service I have had during my stay in Baltimore. Great description of food. Plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing meal. Price very reasonable. Had the dinner special of the three course meal. All courses very delicious. Great presentation of food. Would highly recommend.

I was hesitant about ordering from here, considering literally every review I found online was negative, but the Indian delivery options are pretty limited where I work. I was expecting a long delivery time considering the other reviews I read, surprisingly they arrived right when they said they would. To put it succinctly, the vindaloo that I ordered was watery, soupy, bland, every piece of chicken was tasteless with fat all over it. The potatoes were dried out and tasted like cardboard. The spices were nonexistent. I didn't even know it was possible to make Indian food tasteless, but apparently it is. Avoid at all costs.
