Best eye clinic I have been to so far. The staff was welcoming and the doctor was very knowledgeable, professional and nice. I was told they have options provided for uninsureds. My mum came to visit from France and accompanied me for my opthalmic visit at the silver spring clinic, and the doctor gave her an eye exam for free! when she complained of eye pain. The doctor took time to explain her condition to her in french as she couldn't understand English, he was kind, nice and patient. I went for my follow up at the baltimore clinic and the staff were equally welcoming and professional, I had my prescription and eye glasses in about 10days. Thank you Dr leno Michel and the staff. I will recommend this place to anyone

This is the friendliest place I've been to in a long time. The staff was courteous and made you feel welcome. The optometrist was very knowledgeable and took to all of my children whom range in age. (They got a kick out of him :^}) I will be taking my children here from now on!! Local, professional, friendly service!! Not what I expected in an urban area but I'm more than satisfied!

I have gone to several other eye care offices, but these guys are far better than any of the others. Even though they are extremely high tech, they cost me half what the other offices charged. They have a great assortment of glasses, but unlike the other offices, they did not encourage me to buy new ones, since the ones that I have are very close to my prescription.

A coworker recommended I try this place for eyeglasses. I was very pleased with the service. The technician was able to find a great pair of glasses for me. I am on a fixed income and the price was affordable

Tips & Advices
While the first appointment is the most comprehensive, the majority of appointments with an ophthalmologist begin with a basic eye exam followed by a refraction to test if glasses are needed. Other tests might include an eye muscle coordination exam, a check of pupil response and peripheral vision, slit lamp microscope test to look at the anterior segment of the eye, and an intraocular pressure assessment.
Most eye doctors will charge different amounts for their services, but a basic eye exam with an ophthalmologist can range from $50 to $300. Additional tests and treatment will add to the price.
Ophthalmology subspecialties include strabismus/pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, retina/uveitis ophthalmology, cornea/anterior segment ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastic surgery, and reconstruction.
Ophthalmologists can diagnose macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, ocular albinism, vitreous traction, cataracts, astigmatism, myopia, retinoblastoma, and many more.
The most popular ophthalmology procedures are cataract, laser eye treatment, and glaucoma surgeries.
