Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
I recently came out of a restaurant to find that my sweet little Honda Fit had endured a nasty hit-and-run. The bumper was half-off, the left rear panel was massively dented in -- it was ugly. I'd never needed an auto body shop before and I was SUPER anxious about finding a reputable one. We've all heard horror stories. I am so glad I went to Leading Edge (based on Yelp reviews, actually). Jeff gave me an estimate quickly, worked efficiently with my insurance company adjuster to agree on a price, and answered all of my questions. And even though it was right around Thanksgiving and they were swamped, the work got done efficiently. One thing that really made me feel I'd put my car in good hands was while I was in the waiting room getting my estimate, an elderly woman came in and said her brake light was out. She wanted to know when she could schedule a fix and sounded really worried about having to be without her car for a day. Jeff offered to swap out the bulb right then and there if she had a few minutes to spare, for about ten bucks. You just don't see easygoing, friendly customer service like that anymore! Little things like that make me feel good about giving them my business. My good opinion of them was further affirmed when I picked up my car. The repair and paint job look flawless - my baby was back to her old self! The color matching and pin stripe look great (and I'm super fussy about that, since the orange pearl color is a big part of what drew me to that car in the first place). I sort of hope I don't need to go back to Leading Edge, since that would mean my car has been knocked around. But if I'm ever in that unfortunate position again, I will go back here, no question.

Mt Washington Autohaus
I have taken my cars to Brian for ~15 years.Brian is a certified airplane mechanic and by extension and most likely has forgotten more about cars than most mechanics will ever know.Brian's personal and professional integrity, professional competence and delivery of service is beyond reproach.Brian's expert mechanics, Dan and Rich are incredible in their own rights.Brian, usually at my insistence, checks every little noise or vibration, even outside my cars' regular maintenance schedule to help me "stay ahead of the maintenance and cost curve." As a result, my expenses in maintaining a 1988 Volvo 740 GLE, amortized over the years have been ~$100/month. That translates into ~1/4 of a typical car payment. My vigilance through Brian's care an careful monitoring of my vehicles has saved me the cost of at least two new cars, resulting in my 1988 currently boasting ~445K miles.Brian, realizing that I needed new seats took the time to research a source of nearly new seats to match the interior of my car. He located, acquired, and installed them, obviously saving my back, and ensuring the nearly pristine quality of my trusty steed's cargo bay.I have no idea what I will do if Brian closes his Mt. Washington Autohaus; == Woe unto us. I truly worry about finding as honest, competent, knowledgeable, resourceful, and fairly priced mechanical prize as he with Dan and Rich.

Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
My entire family (4 vehicles) have been using Leading Edge for all of our mechanical and body repair needs for the last 10 years. I recently had them detail my daughters 2008 Honda Accord and when I got it back it didn’t look like the same car. I literally didn’t recognize it. The wax job made it look like a new car, then I opened it and the interior was spotless and smelled fantastic.I am always confident that I can leave any of our vehicles with them and they will do what is right and not over charge for their services. On a prior visit, my daughter was having problems with her air conditioning not operating. Jeff had his Technician diagnosis the problem and told me it needed a relay replaced. We got the car back the next day and he only charged my daughter for the part cost. Any other facility would have charged at least one hour diagnostic time and then time to access and install the relay.I am a retired Auto Insurance Damage Appraiser of 27 years and can honestly say that this type of business etiquette is extremely rare, if not almost extinct. Jeff, Anthony, Ryan & his entire staff have obviously worked very hard to earn the A+ rating at the BBB, and it’s well deserved. R.L.H. (Baltimore,Md)

Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
Ok so no one likes to go to the body shop because that means something bad happened to their car and they also know that as soon as they walk in they can just watch their money fly out of their wallets.Well yesterday I got into a fender bender when a guy hit me during a rain storm and then drove away. My back fender was bent in and also coming off the side of the car.I went into Leading Edge this morning around 8 and they told me that it would cost around $50, but they'd have it done within the hour. I walked to Starbucks next door and when I came back it looked like nothing had even happened to my car. They blew back out the back and put the fender back in place perfectly! When I went in to go and pay they didn't even charge me and just sent me on my way! I would suggest Leading Edge to anyone they were super friendly, fast, and obviously inexpensive! If you're in Baltimore with a car problem I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

A1 Auto Three Brothers Car Repair
I took my car into A1 Auto Three Brothers today to get my brakes changed. The owner Paul was very patient with me and explained what exactly i needed done. I have been taking my car here for years and the parts and service he provides is far beyond my expectations and beats the price I pay at the acura dealership.I waited for my car, drank some coffee and was able to get work done on my computer by using there free wifi. It was done before I knew it!The mechanic even found flaws in my wheel locks that the dealer had been stripping for months. This would have been horrible to have been caught on the side of the road with no working wheel locks. I actually took the car back to the dealership to show them this mistake and they providing new wheel locks that three brothers later replaced. Do not waste your time going to any dealer- go to three brothers!

Mt Washington Autohaus
I've been a customer of Mt. Washington Autohaus since 1994 and will be forever. Brian, the owner, and his two assistants are superior. Over the years I've had four different cars worked on there. The don't fix cars just to get it done and collect a bill, Instead, they tell you what's really needed to actually fix the problem. If they don't think they can fix it right, they tell you and suggest another car repair facility. Some people get put off by that, but I'd rather be treated in an honest fashion. Like the professionals they are, I've observed them regularly confer with one another on a job, to be sure they got it right. The prices seem in line with what I hear and see others charge, but I really don't know since it's been so long since I've been elsewhere.

Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
Reason #1 never to move away from Baltimore -- Leading Edge Auto Body shop. This mechanic shop is THE BEST!! They have helped me with every car repair problem I've brought to them, and they are kind, understanding, have great ideas and know when something needs to be fixed or can wait. Jeff, Ryan, Mike and the team are top-notch professionals who, if they wanted to, could work only on super high-end cars but they don't -- they want to work every kind of car and treat my car (a 16 year old Subaru) like it's a Mercedes!! I would give Leading Edge even more stars if this site would let me. Go to Leading Edge... you'll be spoiled for life!!

Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
Do to the snowstorms over the winter, I had already put knicks into the bumper of the car and chipped the paint. Jeff touched it all up for me, and painted my replacement side view mirror and gas cap to match the rest of the car. They also cleaned my windshield and dash. When all was said and done, and it was time for me to pick up the car, it had started to pour outside and I was about a mile down the road at a shopping center killing time until it was ready (I had walked from my house to the shopping center since I was careless at the point). Jeff called and asked where I was. He sent two employees out to deliver my car to me.

Leading Edge AutoBody & Mechanical Repair
My car was a technical total loss because the damage was 75% of the value of the car, but it was still completely drivable. The damage was almost entirely cosmetic. I went to two other body shops for quotes and they were skeptical and reluctant to do the work. Then I went to Leading Edge. Not only did Jeff make it out to be no big deal, his quote was hundreds less than the estimates by the other two body shops. And when it was all said and done, they did a BEAUTIFUL job. The car looks amazing and they finished the job in three days. Really easy to work with too. Thank you, Leading Edge!

Baltimore Collision Centers
This is the second time I took my Honda to Baltimore Collision Center. The first time I ripped a third of my bumper off, and instead of replacing the entire bumper (which I didn't want to do) they did an amazing job reattaching and the cost was shockingly inexpensive. The second time, (yes, I tore it up again!) they fixed it at NO CHARGE!!!!! within 5 minutes. Eventually, i will have to replace the bumper, and they will be the place I take my car to. Can't say enough about how friendly, reasonable, and quality of their service is.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
