Total Access Urgent Care
Thrilled with the care I received today. Professional and compassionate attention. I felt every detail of my situation was attended to. The staff did not have me leave until I was feeling better and my issues were resolved. I am a repeat customer and I will be again. I was happy I did not have to go to a crowded germy ER to obtain the care I needed. All medical services and medications were there in one location which made it extremely easy and convenient for me. Dr. Hinrichs was extremely kind, knowledgeable and prompt in diagnosing me, and kept checking on me as I needed an IV and medications. All of the staff were very warm, responsive and I received skillful top notch care. After living out of state for 20 years, I am SO glad I'm back in St. Louis where I can go to Total Access Urgent Care anytime I need to. I have never been disappointed in their services and I always would recommend them to family and friends. Thank you so much to the crew there today for helping me and making me feel better! I am so thankful for you all!

Total Access Urgent Care
I visited TAUC when I was having pains in my chest. Being young (34) I wasn't sure what was going on and figured it wasn't a heart attack, but knew something was wrong because of the amount of pain I was in. The staff got me right back, did an EKG and read it right away. From talking to me they were worried about a possible blood clot and drew all of the appropriate labs, started an IV, and sent me to their other facility for a chest CT. Luckily here was no clot, but they found some fluid around my lung, which explained the pain. I was impressed at how quickly they handled everything! My CT results were given to me less than a half hour after my scan. All of the staff from the check in, to the EMTs, to the radiologist, and the PA and physicians were knowledgable and respectful. I would definitely recommend Total Access Urgent Care to anyone, and I myself am a healthcare professional.

Total Access Urgent Care
I had gone to the Take Care Walgreens clinic out of need due to bronchitis and misery. Saw nurse practitioner and got meds but no relief. Had to do something else, couldn't sleep for coughing and getting worse by the minute. So glad I went to the TAUC, wish I had done so first of all. They were so professional and caring. The facility is clean and efficient. Even when they were busy they got me in quickly and cared for me as soon as possible. They listened to all my problems and although I have complications with medications, really tried to help me feel better. I received a follow up call and had another breathing treatment done and meds readjusted. I hope to feel better soon. IF I don't it's not for a lack of trying on TAUC's part. Everyone from receptionists to doctors have been very attentive. Thank you.

Total Access Urgent Care
“I drove to the Total Access Urgent Care facility because I was stung by a bee, which caused a major reaction in my left hand and arm. I was beyond impressed with my experience at this doctor’s office. My first contact was with the staff and I was completely blown away by how helpful and kind they were! A lot of doctors don’t realize how important it is to have outstanding administration because the first point of contact is crucial! Now on to the appointment… Dr Hindrichs was really knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment, and went above and beyond expectations by providing a follow-up visit at my office the day after my initial visit to check on my arm. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul Hinrichs and his medical group!”

Total Access Urgent Care
I was visiting my family in St Louis and went in with my brother to get treatment. He was there for a follow-up for pneumonia and I decided get checked out as well for a cough that I'd had for the last week. I found out that I also had pneumonia. I was given chest x-rays and antibiotics. My brother and I were in and out in less than an hour. The staff joked with us but were also professional, polite and quick. They made sure we had a CD of our chest x-rays and notes if we followed up with our regular doctors and even emailed us. I had Tricare so my visit was covered, but I listened to one of the receptionist explain the cost to another patient and it seemed to be affordable even if I didn't have tricare.I would definitely go back if I had to.

Total Access Urgent Care
This place is fantastic. It was my first experience with an Urgent Care facility, but won't be my last. I went in with debilitating back pain, and the staff was so kind. Adam, the gentleman who evaluated me, even helped me fill out my forms. I was taken back to a room within 30 seconds of walking in the front door. Doc Hinrichs was terrific. Very kind and helped me to make choices in directing my own care. He even gave me his personal phone number in case I had any questions later. The care center was immaculately clean, the rooms new and inviting, the staff professional and compassionate. I will never go to an ER again!

Total Access Urgent Care
I fell and busted my lip about 7 pm On a Sun. Remembered seeing a Total Access Urgent Care add on TV. Called to ask if they could do stitches if required and how late were they open. I was told to just come on over and they would be able to treat me. Dr Henrichs was the best and the staff was very personable as well as professional. They even had the medication I needed so I didn't have to make a stop on A Sun at 8:30pm. Anytime I had a question about my injury, they were responsive immediately. I went to the Ballwin location and would recommend them highly. They truly are Total in every way.

Total Access Urgent Care
Everyone was friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in the door. They had me in a room before I could even sit down in the waiting room. The nurses, techs, and doctor all showed real concern for me a person and wanted to make sure that all of my needs were met. The doctor took the time to even talk a bit, it really made me feel like I mattered to them. This was the third time I have gone to this location and every time the experience is the same. It does not matter if you are going in with: a grease burn, pink eye, or bronchitis and everything in between they are ready to help.

Total Access Urgent Care
When I realized that I needed to get medical help and I had limited time, I stopped in and hoped that I wouldn't end up cutting into my family's vacation time. Thankfully, they were far faster than I expected, and they got my evaluation, X-Rays, and diagnosis to me in a fast amount of time, while also being ACCURATE. Now that my arm is better I can actually type this review... and I'd recommend Total Access Urgent Care to any of my friends. They're quick, reliable, friendly, and make you feel comfortable and safe. If I'm ever in need of urgent care again, this will be my go-to place.

Total Access Urgent Care
After seeing my primary and getting a 5 minute visit with his NP. I left my primary's office in pain with no potential for relief for 2.5 weeks. Not being able to wait any longer due to the discomfort and pain.I went in to Total Urgent Care for the first time and was greeted with a friendly helpful face. I was taken back immediately without a lot of paperwork or waiting. Dr. McAdam and his team were so helpful and compassionate. I left feeling 100% better. I could not have been more pleased with my visit. I will go back and will refer anyone to visit this location.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
