Garcia & Sons Home Improvement
I believe in the future of renewable energy. Our house has solar panels to save money on our bills (which are extremely high). I suggest anyone with a bit of property, a business or a roof to see if you can put solar, it's really worth it. Quick tip: we used www.mysolarinstaller.com to get tailored quotes for our home. They got us the top solar installers in our area to send free quotes...it took us less than a minute with their process and we got to compare apples with apples.

Lyle J. Cheek Construction Services
My Dad was a concrete contractor in Bakersfield starting in 1959. When I was a kid growing up, he would always have me at jobs doing concrete work. Today we are the good guys, well equipped, highly skilled and most experienced. We are also the neatest and cleanest of all and take great pride in our work. I give fast quotes and my prices are always very fair for the top quality work that we do. You will be happy/happy that you decided to have us work at your home!

Crestline Builders Inc
If you take pride in your property and want the job done in a professional timely manner, I highly recommend Crestline Builders. The day of my fire they talked with me helped me realize things would be ok. My property was quickly secured. From that moment work began and a trust was built. You will never find a better group of people and excellent crew. I am so proud of my new apartments, more than I could have ever dreamed of.

Done Right Construction
Their name says it all. I have never met a more professional and productive crew in my life. Their passion for their work is something your don't see a lot of anymore. They built a custom wood mantel for my fireplace, grouted my kitchen backsplash, and sanded a painted my front doors. Everything turned out better than I expected. I will refer them to anyone and I'll be hiring them again for more projects. Thank you Done Right.

Legacy Homes-Olympian Hills
Waiting two and a half years to have warranty issues half fixed and some denied completely! Unacceptable and very unprofessional. If I could do it again I would not buy from Legacy Homes in Bakersfield. I thought for sure contacting the Vice President before taking legal action would move things along but to my surprise he was rude and denied all major warranty claims. Very dissatisfied customer here.

Done Right Construction
I purchased a sliding door at Home Depot, and they contracted me with Done Right Construction. Home Depot was the worst experience in my life. Done Right Construction did the Supberb job installing my door, top notch work, finished it extremely nicely, cleaned up the job site, and were very professional and nice folks. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Tips & Advices
Resurfacing, where a contractor removes and replaces the top layer of concrete, is a middle ground between multiple patch jobs and a complete replacement.
Homeowners should work with a concrete contractor who is either certified by or a member of one or more trade organizations for high-quality results. These individuals adhere to professional guidelines and are versed in industry and safety standards. Such organizations include: American Concrete Institute (ACI) American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA).

Wet concrete can irritate the skin or cause first-, second-, or third-degree chemical burns. Cement dust contains silica, which damages the lungs and can lead to cancer or silicosis. Many concrete mixtures contain cement, so homeowners should be careful if contractors create the concrete on site. Anyone who touches wet concrete or dust should wash their skin with soap and cold water.
Colored concrete is created by blending liquid, granular or powdered iron oxide pigments with natural concrete. These pigments are either mined directly from the earth or manufactured in a chemical plant.
