Reliable and ethical, great service. A loyal customer for life. I broke down at the side of the road, the garage owner stopped to help. Sourced the parts quickly and cheaply, then made best efforts to turn everything around quickly. On the day I was due to collect the car I called ahead because I intended to arrange a cab, instead the garage owner picked us up in his own car. They went over and above, in service and helpfulness. Added bonus they treat women with the same respect they do male customers. It's a basic place, but the service far outclasses the high end competition.

Pronto Towing & Recovery
I got connected to Albert's by AMA towing and could not be happier. This company did an AMAZING JOB towing the most inconveniently located RV on earth. The driver was a true pro and the job was NOT EASY AT ALL. It was back the most dreadfully rocky road and required an hour of sweaty work in the August sun to get hooked up in its horrible condition.I can't say enough good stuff about these guys. They really went above and beyond and it was a hard job and they did it perfectly.

Steel Towing
Actually amazing for a towing Austin TX service. They actually took care of me and my vehicle. How? I looked them up on the web at and called. I couldn't wait the usual hour and a half that the other towing companies Austin TX usually give me ( I had to get to work man!). They were there within a half hour and there was none of the usual stuff that goes on with these Austin towing companies. Keep up the good work Steel Towing...

EZ Tow
From the call to the eventual tow of my vehicle the professionalism and courtesy was excellent. The calm patient voice at the start of the process put me at ease by giving me a real estimate time of arrival for assistance. Once help arrived clear and concise options on what he could do to get my vehicle running and/or get me home and my vehicle to safety. The level of servce exceeded my expectations and the options presented were a huge cost savings.

I broke down on the side of IH-35 in between Georgetown and Jarrell on my motorcycle at 9:00 in the evening. These guys worked their hardest to get out to me as I was pretty nerved racked since it was so late and there are no lights out that way. Ethan was an excellent tow truck driver and made sure my baby was secured before towing my bike home. Thank you all so much for your promptness and dealing with me as I freaked out. You guys are awesome!

Steel Towing
I never thought I'd write a positive review for an Austin towing company, but here it is. I found Steel Towing on Google and looked up and called for an Austin TX towing quote. It was good, so I went with them. I can now actually say a towing service Austin Texas actually impressed me. Got there on time and stuck to their quote. Nice job, Steel...

Special Towing
Don't normally take the time to comment, but Special Towing deserves it! Was stranded on IH35 with no one helping. Called 3 towing companies, driver Steven came out, loaded my Tahoe quick and got me home. They were there in less than 30minutes and it was a fair price! Would use them again for SURE!!!

I contacted ABC maintenance service for a wooden furniture scratch repair after seeing good reviews on yelp. Aaron Cohick was very responsive on email and also arrived on time to do a free assessment.

Tips & Advices
Yes, most roadside assistance coverage plans offer towing services. There might be certain restrictions, however. For example, the plan may only cover towing services for a certain number of miles. Drivers should check with their providers for details.
Which cars are covered depends on the roadside assistance provider. AAA services are available to members and not specific to any vehicle. As long as members pays their dues and have their membership card on hand, they can use AAA for someone else's car. Generally, auto insurance plans cover the car itself, not the driver, so people can't use their roadside assistance for another. However, details vary between providers, plans and local laws. Drivers should consult with their insurance providers to see whose cars are covered.
Roadside assistance coverage varies depending on the provider. However, they generally include:
  • Tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Towing services
  • Locksmith service
  • Minimal mechanical labor
  • Delivery of oil, fuel, batteries or other parts
If a driver has a flat tire and no spare, roadside assistance services can deliver a new one. However, these services will not pay for the cost of the tire. That will be the driver's responsibility. Based on the location, some will tow a car to a tire dealer.
Most roadside assistance plans offer gas delivery and service. However, clients are generally responsible for the cost of the gas.
