Most reviews are posted on sites out of frustration. Our experience turned out in the end to be one of frustration and anxiety but then a really awesome ending. We met our cab driver at the airport and he took us home around 2am. We caught the redeye out of San Jose so we were very tired when he got us to our house. We left one of our bags in the taxi. We did not discover the backpack missing until 11 that morning. We contacted the Office and explained our situation. The cab driver returned to our house about 1.5 hours later with our bag. The contents of the bag were very expensive. Some items were not really replaceable. We really want to thank the driver and Lone Star Cab. We will look for Lone Star cabs when we need one in the future. Thanks so much!

Like I said before, I really dont care about what kind of car Im in as much as I care about the driver being on time, of course as long as it is clean vehicle. you can count on them when you make taxi reservation. We had great experience in Austin for 2 days, they really make your life easier. at least you dont have to worry about if the taxi is coming or you ending up driving your car. Thanks

Beware of this company!! If ypu review other Yelp reviews you will see many unhappy people. I made 3 reservations with this company and our travel plans changed and had to cancel. I spoke to Abdul who manages the drivers and he indicated there would be a $75 cancellation fee. I cancelled 11 days in advance of our reservation so there was plenty of time for others to utilize the 2 vehicles we had reserved. I asked for a copy of the policy that states there would be a $75 cancellation fee and he proceeded to yell at me saying if I want to see a copy of it I will need to fly to Texas (I'm from Minnesota) and physically walk into their office as it's hanging on the wall. I asked if he could email or mail me a copy of that policy and he again yelled at me and said " you want me to take a picture of it and send it to you??" I am beyond appalled at his behavior and how he spoke to me. I asked if I could speak to someone else in charge and he said "why would you want to speak to someone else when you are talking to me?" I asked a few more times to speak to someone else and he refused to transfer or provide an alternate phone number. I would NEVER in a million years recommend this company to anyone. For those of you reserving cabs with this company beware of hidden cancellation fees. Incredibly unprofessional, terrible first impression and are ripping people off.

Here are the bullet points for my “1 Star” experience:--Price was quoted for $45 for a 25 mile trip, but ended up being a non-negotiable $75 for those 25 miles despite it being a direct route without traffic--The driver showed up 15 minutes early calling me on the phone claiming he was right on time and I was making him wait--A couple of miles into the trip, I noticed the meter already reading $20; driver told me he did not charge me for waiting, which could not be the case (again he was early)--The vehicle literally stunk of cigarette smoke--The driver was very unkempt and spoke of women with disrespect, referring to female body parts during the trip as a joke--The receipt later showed the driver charged me $5 extra as a credit card usage fee--When calling to complain, the call was answered by someone driving who claimed to be an “offsite dispatcher”, yet I could hear traffic around him in the background--When I called the number on the receipt, I spoke with the “manager” who outright refused to negotiate claiming a $20 difference in price from the estimate was acceptable--The address on the receipt also refers to an apartment complex, which I must assume belongs to the driver himself

I know them, we worked together before starting his cab service, Great service friendly staff, The guy who answers my phone call and took my information was very polite. and you will never be hassled for extra tip, nor was I fooled into detouring the long way

Horrible customer service and miss leading on price. Called to book service was told it $49 from north Austin of Palmer to airport (took my address and quoted me $49) get dropped off at airport not told what total was asked for card swiped left tip and everything thinking it was $49 what I got quoted over the phone. Driver dropped me off at the wrong terminal. Looked at receipt when I got into the airport where I could finally see because driver would not turn on over head light. Called them back and they took no responsibility blamed it on the dispatch. To top it off the car reeked of cigaret smoke. I could of taken a limo service and had a better experience and car. Do not recommend taking! Worst experience ever!!
