Made reservations for my boyfriend's bday and to say the 1/2 hr wait was seemingless compared to the wonderful experience we had. Crab slider appetizers, courtesy champagne, sweet spanish red wine and the most tender grilled salmon by far. He especially enjoyed his surprise dessert on the house and the warm bread and delictable entrees. Loved our private booth far from the kitchen and look forward to coming back soon while visiting the Austin area!

This was my first time eating at Perlas. Decor inside was clean and simple. White table clothes and good service. Our waiter was prompt, coureous and knowledgable.\r The salt and pepper Calamari was some of the best I have had. Fresh, light, not greasy with 2 delicious sauces to choose. The oysters on the half were small but tasty. Again with choice of crackers, real horse radish and fresh cocktail sauce. Last we had the crab louie with fried green tomato. Fresh crab and creamy avacado together in a yummy mix. Top this all off with a bottle of the New Zealand Yoko Sauv Blanc and I was in heaven. A perfect meal. A little pricey but not a dissappointment. I would go back and do it again.

We're new to the Austin area but have dined at Pappadeaux's in Dallas and always enjoyed it. Needless to say, we were pleased to find a local restaurant and more than that, with our most recent dining experience. We dined with 29 of our neighbors from our community Empty Nester's dinner group on Wednesday evening, 4/14/2010, at 6:30 pm. We were seated in a private room and our server's (Betsy and America) were very efficient, pleasant and accommodating. Everyone was very pleased with their meal choices and portions, and their cocktails. Would I dine there again? You can bet on it! Well done Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen and thanks for the fantastic dining experience.

We've eaten at Freda's twice in the last week or so! Both times were really great. I highly recommend it. The Sea Bass was so good the first time I had to go back again. Others at the table all had great meals as well. I think they had Tilapia and a blackened dish. On the second visit we got there while happy hour was still going and enjoyed a couple of their appetizers as well. We ordered the calamari and the stuffed mushrooms(caper beurre blanc(sp?) sauce was grea). There was music on the patio both times. Jazz once and soft rock another. Nice, pleasant, not too loud. Service was good. Definitely will go back.
