Durham's Floor Finishing
I used David to help with a home we were remodeling that had extensive needs for tile restoration. David went out of his way to help us come up with ideas and to make sure we got what we wanted for the end result! He restored very damages tile both inside and outside and made it look new again. He knows his stuff and does what he says he will do. I highly recommend David and his team!

Boatright Hardwood Floors
Hired Boatright to install hardwood floors which they have been working on since April & never completed. They finished upstairs in September & the owner promised that they would be back after labor day weekend. They never showed up nor did we hear from them. My husband called them & they turned up on September 14 for 3 hrs. On September 15 one of the sanders told me the owner had instructed them to walkout of the job if anyone was in the way. I told the employee that it was arrogant & highly unprofessional of the owner. That it was a business contract & they were not doing us any favor's. The painters turned up & moved their things as asked. The sanders quit even though the painters were not anywhere in their vicinity. They got paid for the job that they barely started, & walked out. The owner then blamed the painters, then me saying I was name calling his employees & wagging a finger on their face which was completely fabricated. Beware this company lacks ethics and integrity!

Durham's Floor Finishing
We had a time sensitive floor finishing job which David responded to with flexibility, professionalism and superior service. He made a few trips back to work around other contractors and was very considerate of our timing and availability. Wife and I are completely satisfied with the work.

Garry Bitner Custom Floors
From my experience I have observed Garry Bitner is a LIAR, UNPROFESSIONAL and, an all around BAD WORKER. I would not go with him his work is sub standard at best. BUYER BEWARE... I WARNED YOU.

Texas Home & Floors
We have done work with Clint Tomlinson and Texas Home and Floors for over ten years and we are very pleased with the work they have done. Texas Home and Floors has done our hardwood floors, three bathrooms, and full remodel of our kitchen including granite counter tops, light fixtures, appliances, and fixtures. They do high quality work at a fair price and stand behind their work. I have referred Texas Home and Floors to many of my friends and work colleagues and they have been just as pleased as we have. No job is too big. The next time I need work done on my house, I will call Clint and Texas Home and Floors.

Durham's Floor Finishing
very poor service; David has a bad temper; does not warrant his work; after 800.00 paying for him to clean and shine my floor; 4 months later it looks bad; took him two months to come out and then would not warrant his work after losing his temper and storming off; DO NOT USE THIS MAN; he is a rip off big time

I highly recommend Matt Garcia as you can count on him to provide professional service and top quality products at a very competitive price. Matt has completed several projects for us in multiple homes now. He is a master at his craft and it shows in his end product. The most recent project he completed for us was a winding staircase that has become the envy of our friends. We are very pleased with Matt Garcia's work and have recommended him to family and close friends who have been equally happy.

Austin Hardwood Flooring Inc.
My name is Kelly. I recently had hardwood floors installed into my home during the holidays. Matt Garcia and his crew came out and delivered the best customer experience and customer satisfaction anyone could ask for. He and his crew were very professional and completed the work on time and as scheduled. I am in the process of renovating my house and I will definitely call upon Matt Garcia and his crew in the future. I highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking for exceptional work to be done.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
