24 Hour Tattoo Shops in Austin, TX
1313 S Congress Ave
My brother was in town for an impromptu weekend, and we decided that we “needed” to get tattoos in memory of our late grandmother. I went with something in her handwriting on my arm; Jack did it perfectly, adding a small change to make it perfect. I could not be happier. My brother decided to get a larger piece. Royce worked with him to draw out exactly what he wanted, and executed it amazingly. Being sxsw weekend I was really not sure walking into a shop on S Congress was a good plan, but these guys exceeded every expectation I have for a tattoo artist. Clean, professional, honest, amazing artists but they also had us laughing with their jokes, which made the time more enjoyable. I also watched as they calmly explained to some people making that drunk tattoo bad decision why they may want to sleep on it, and still stay calm as people rudely demanded next to impossible requests. I can’t say enough good things about this place, seriously, quit searching, this is the place you want.

I have gotten all my tattoos and piercings at Ressurection Tattoos. They price much cheeper, they quote you on your tatt, they dont charge by the hour. I got a solid tribal design on my back, a 4 1/2 hour job done for $250! That was my first tattoo and after that i have had the same guy, Roger, do all of mine: my back, both arms half sleeved and even a free one on my calf. They are very friendly and cool and most reasonable and provide great advice and feedback and touchups are always free! Piercings are much cheeper too, I have had 9 piercings from them. They have really grown since the last time I was there and for good reason. With them there is no need to worry about the cold shoulder or rudeness.

I'm Kyle Giffen! I currently work at Platinum Ink in Austin TX. I've also been fetured on Oxygen for the new hit tv show Best Ink! And have been published in Tattoo Magazine. From my experiences in working in tattoo shops I've come to find that Platinum Ink is one of the best places to work and receive a tattoo or body piercing. I love it here!

I just stopped by and got myself a vertical labret. Colleen did it and I have to say that she was fantastic. She made sure I didn't have any questions and was really careful about placing the jewelry so that it would sit straight even if I smiled. I watched her sterilize everything, so I knew it was clean. She told me about her experience with the same type of piercing and said she thought it would look cute on me, which it does. :) She talked me through the whole process, which made it really comfortable. Virtually painless! It looks awesome. Colleen also loosened the ball on my industrial, which was on wayy too tight so that I couldn't get it off, for no charge. I'm looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for a shorter bar once the swelling goes down. :]

Will, Will, Will... That is the man. Even though I have been to his chair for the last 4 or 5 years, he still explains everything like I was new to the game. So, watching some of these posts on here about them not being clean, I can't believe that. I have never seen anyone get worked on with something that was not sterilized in front of them. If you keep yourself clean you will not get an infection from here. I have been driving 8 hours every 6 monthts to get more ink. I am currently getting a full back piece done, and it is like going to see a therapist... Gotta get back to get my Ink Therapy with Dr. Will... Peace, be there in June 2010.

I went and got my very first tattoo here at Rock of Ages - a customized memorial piece. Hector Fong did an excellent job! I told him what I wanted and he drew up a beautiful piece of art. I got this in April, and the tattoo still looks beautiful and colorful 6 months later. I'm proud of this ink! Will definitely be visiting Hector again for future tattoos.

Carlos was a guest artist in Carrollton, Tx, and did a marvelous job with my first two tattoos. He offered ideas, and greatly improved on my initial vision without being pushy. He even charged me less when he finished early - well worth a substantial tip.\r \r Fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic

This tattoo artist, Arnoldo Carrillo is something else. Fantastic. Talent beyond belief. I still can't get over how great my tattoos are and I got the first one from him over a year ago. Also, his shop is immaculate. And he's a great person to work with. Takes great care in all aspects of his art. This guy is easily the best tattoo artist around.

Before choosing Forsaken Tattoos, I checked out a number of other shops. Many were overpriced or seemed unwilling to answer questions. I immediately was happy to find an open and clean shop, with friendly artists. (as opposed to the typical dark and wanna-be-cool shops.) Great experience!

Went to the shop with my son and his dad to go get my septum pierced. As I walk up to the door it has a sign stating no children are permitted in the shop whether it's in a cart, stroller or in your arms. It has something to do with their "insurance policy." so they go and wait in the car... I go inside and told Jade(the piercer) specifically that I need to be able to flip the ring up in my nose as I work in a professional environment where it would not be tolerated. So tells me it's fine and the ring she is putting in will be able to flip up. So I trusted her word and proceed with the piercing. She gets everything set up and has me sit in front of her to do the piercing, which I'm thinking as I'm typing this that it's weird, usually I see people laying down...anyways she doesn't consult me about where the needle is being placed and jus does it. Everything was fine till I got home and really started noticing stuff. Like how crocked it was. I understand that piercings aren't going too be 100% perfect...but really??? So I try to flip it up to see what it would look like...and you can clearly see it in my left nostril. When I started looking to see where it was placed I noticed it was VERY close to the tip of my nose...so I ask a couple of people about their piercings..and they say theirs are further up. Oh yeah and I asked her which gauge it was and she respond 16g. That's when I ask her if she could do it with a 14g and she tells me that the 16 was all she had...talk about unprepared! I feel like the ring itself isnt big enough to allow room for swelling, that was the last mistake that was made when I got a piercing in my ear. But I know she realizes when she getting low on stock. That's jus laziness. And now she's supposed to start tattooing..pshhhh good luck with that one kid. So now I'm stuck with a piercing I'm extremely frustrated with(considering taking it out) and a shop that I'll never go back to. The staff wasn't very pleasant in top of it all... I'll probably go to Shaman Modifications on congress and Ben White to see if the piercer Pineapple can help me out with my dilemma. From what I gather the staff over there is awesome and knowledgeable.
