New Life Auto Repair
If it was possible to put no stars, I would have selected that option. I never review places but want to let the CSRA know what a crappy place this is. If you care about your car DONT GO HERE! Steve the manager sold me 2 tires. One tires was gouged deeply by a rim multiple times when the tire went flat. The other tire had a huge bulge in it, was warped and the inner band was snapped. They were so heavily damaged that they should have been tossed in the dump but instead of doing that they put them on my car! The never balanced the tires and claimed they didnt have a balancing machine. These tires wouldnt have passed being balanced anyways. In the process of putting the tires on he snapped a lug nut with the metal piece still inside and left it in my cup holder. Steve didnt even call to let me know what happened. When confronted Steve did not take responsibility nor wanted to fix the problem. They cursed us out multiple times instead of being professional! Steve blamed the last person who tightened the lug nut and said they need to be the one who should fix it. We told Steve it was Zak who tightened it and he reniged and became even more irate cursing at his employee ans us and still said he wouldnt fix it. After much back and forth Steve made us go and buy the part and only then would they fix it! My family could have been killed because of the condition of the tires. If you value your car, time money and most importantly your life...DONT GO HERE!!!!

L&J Mobile Auto Doc
This is a young mechanic who is getting his business off the ground. I've had him work on 2 of my vehicles and he is about to work on a 3rd. I am extremely picky when it comes to maintenance on my rides. This young man understands, and thankfully shares the same passion for cars.I HIGHLY recommend Lynn. He has been nothing but prompt, courteous and respectful. I would tell anyone to give him a shot and see for yourselves.

Farmhaus Burger
I have had turkey burgers across the country but the wild turkey burger is by far the best turkey burger I have ever had. The fries are amazing too.

Athletics Augusta Sports Bar
We went there about two weeks ago due to their advertising as a "comedy club." We also figured we would eat dinner there. First, the food: mediocre at best, but we can honestly say horrid. Nothing came as expected or advertised. My wife ordered the turkey club, and neither of us could identify the "mystery meat" posing as turkey. Sent food back twice.Second - The comedy club had 4 tables filled - eight people. Each of those people paid between $10 to $15 per person for the privilege of being there (there were coupons involved). However, there were not only eight people who watched the show - there were about 30. People just walked in and sat at the bar or any place they liked and watched it for free. No door man, no security. And, most importantly, NO CHARGE. We paid $20 to be there. At best, a terrible experience. But, in reality, a rip off. We feel that our $20 was stolen since anyone could be there for free. Oh, and the show - a total waste of time. Worth $20? Worth an evening of our time? Not on your life.To sum up, DO NOT BOTHER with this establishment - unless you just want to see your money and time disappear (and if YP allowed me to give less than one star, I would).

Butler Automotive
Very disappointing Place of business. I've taken my car TWICE to get fixed and have spent a thousand or more dollars to get the car working and after getting my car back BOTH times something that should have been fixed or looked like it should have been fixed wasn't fixed and every time Butler would tell me they couldn't look at the car again and I ended taking my car to the dealership where the problem was fixed within the hour even though it ended up costing me more money. Butler should never have given me my car and allowed me to drive it off the lot until everything had been fixed or they should have been willing to admit there mistake and look at my car again free of charge. BOTH my husband and I have experience this kind of service from them. I think our business will going else where.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
