New Life Auto Repair
New Life Auto may not look like much from the street; so, let me inform you about it since I had been taking my 98 Tahoe here for years & now I take my 06 Hummer H2 in periodically. New Life is basically a one man shop operated by the business owner (Steve) with assistance at times from his nephew. You will receive an honest quote from Steve, a fair competitive charge or lower than most places, and Steve knows & repairs vehicles from top to bottom. I have seen him rebuild vehicles from the naked frame up with it ending up as an excellent running vehicle; Steve knows his stuff. Steve stands behind his work & customers; you will not get burned or ever regret taking your vehicle to Steve. New Life is located right at the 13th St. bridge in downtown Augusta.

Eddie's Custom Exhaust
Professional and courteous staff at Eddie's Custom Exhaust. They have upfront pricing, great employees, and quality results. I wanted my stock exhaust replaced. They let me decide how much i wanted replaced, what sound i wanted, and how i wanted the exhaust to exit. I was quoted a price and given an estimated wait time. The didn't try to upsell me. The price they gave was the price i paid at the counter. They have great products and professional employees. If you want a great sounding exhuast and awesome service, go to Eddie's Custom Exhaust in Augusta, GA.

B J Motors
Bob was not only professional but quick at getting my car fixed! He has always answered his phone on the first try and called me if any little change came up. He even called me back to say the price decreased from the original estimate! Who does that? Not any of these big chain shops I will guarantee you that. He warranties his work and is a pleasant person that still believes in customer service. He has over 45 years experience in the industry and believe me, you can tell!

Randy and his team are very wonderful people. I called their shop and told him my car was not turning on. He drove to where I was at looked at it and figured out the issue. I love local shops compared to big places like Goodyear. I took my car to Goodyear for an AC problem. They quoted me someting over $600. So a friend of mine referred me to Bob at BJ Motors. He checked the car out for free - and found two other problems that Goodyear didn't even find!!!!! Plus his price ended up being much cheaper than what Goodyear quoted me - for all three issues! He's a great guy and I will only take my cars to him! I have a Hyundai, Neon and a BMW.

Mr Transmission
You won't regret getting your car repaired here. I tend to be very leery of auto repair shop because of sales pitches that the majority of the time you don't even need. But the gentlemen at Mr Transmission are very honest about what your car needs, they don't try to sell unnecessary services, are super friendly and very helpful!! I will definitely return for any future repairs my car my need!!! Their prices were very reasonable!!

L&J Mobile Auto Doc
This is a young mechanic who is getting his business off the ground. I've had him work on 2 of my vehicles and he is about to work on a 3rd. I am extremely picky when it comes to maintenance on my rides. This young man understands, and thankfully shares the same passion for cars.I HIGHLY recommend Lynn. He has been nothing but prompt, courteous and respectful. I would tell anyone to give him a shot and see for yourselves.

Discount Tire
Income tax time, they we're slammed! Service was admirable, immediately welcomed and assisted the vibe was so positive for how extremely busy they were. Seemed like they all enjoyed their jobs. Watching them through the glass from the bar stool in the main lobby each mechanic work together like a well oiled machine! I'm and out within an hour with a full garage. I'd recommend Discount Tire and their services to everyone

GREAT BUSINESS! GREAT STAFF! Went there this past week to get some tires for my truck. was in and out of there in 40 minutes. If you need tires OR wheels & tires, pay them a visit. Paul is the man to see.Whether its selling, installing, alignments or front end work, Paul was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable person there. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tires or wheels and tires. Chris
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
