Worst experience ever!!! My husband had kidney stones and we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours, he was writhing in pain and vomiting frequently. The receptionists were rude and uncaring and they told us we would just have to wait. When we were finally seen, the doctor mashed around for a minute or two and decided he had a pulled muscle in his back- WHAT?!!! We were given a list of back exercises and told to go home and take Motrin. He didn't do any tests, not even a UA. We immediately went to the ER, where we should've have gone to begin with. They saw his condition and took him back immediately, and a doctor came in right after, gave him medicine for his pain and vomiting, then ordered tests. He had several kidney stones and one was so big, it was causing a blockage. He was admitted and had an emergency Lithotripsy. If we had listened to the other doctor and gone home, it could've turned out badly. I wrote this review so that our story would hopefully save the next person from having to go through the horrible experience that we did. They should be closed down....

Went there for physical test and drug test for the Company just hired me, they give me all around saying I don't have the right form for them to do the drug test. The company HR called Urgent MD that I don't need the form they were asking bec that's how they been doing. They said just send her back in.When I got there the lady just look at me like she didn't do wrong, and I repeated told her previously that I had the form for her to do the test but she insisted that she cannot do the test. When u call them, expect to wait 30 min before someone answer the phone. If the phone don't hang up itself, no operator during their operating hours. What a disappointment experience.

Great place if you don't mind being misdiagnosed! Went in for inflammation of my elbow. Was told it was gout after initial exam. I was told it was gout after the fluid samples came back with no uric crystals present. I was told it was gout even after blood/uric acid levels came back normal. Never have had an issue with gout and am careful with my diet/exercise. Turns out it was bursitis. I do not fault the doctor for including gout in the list of possibilities, but when all tests come back negative you would like to think that a doctor would have enough sense to consider outside of their normal thinking bubble. Thanks for nothing!

Dr Keenan is absolutely the worst doctor there is. Hard headed and does not take into account the patients needs.Went in to be treated for insomnia hadn't slept but a few hours a week and needed something for sleep. Told the doc that hydroxyzine did not work for me and what does he rx ? Exactly that! Also rx something else that is an antidepressant told me it was for sleep and when I took it I was wired. Found out later that's what it's job was to do. This doctor did not spend sufficient time with me nor meet my questions and needs truthfully. He rx me something without talking to me first and when I told him that med did not work for sleep still insisted I take it. He did this so i would come back. This imbecile then told me I could come back for free if there were any issues. When I did come back the next day he refused to see me and insisted I pay another $80 charge if I wanted another consultation. This imbeciles advice is not worth a penny. Go some place else do not choose this place for any medical advice or help as they do not care. They want you to come back so you will continue spending your mpney so will only give you the bare minimum or give you something to make your symptoms worse. This place is full of con artists. Avoid if possible. If you are dying these people will give you the lethal injection to make your symptoms worse and still charge you !

Augusta Primary Care
Dr. Carr is the least hospitable physician we've encountared in the CSRA. My brother is bed-bound from a neuromuscular disease and suffers bouts of pain from nerve damage and hip displacement so he is especially fragile. We selected Dr. Carr as his PCP and he had seen him once before in the past. Upon arriving to his office on a stretcher he was forced to wait an hr in the waiting room on the gurney when it is customary for patients brought in by an ambulance to be promptly escorted to a room. The front desk proceeded to ask for a picture id to see him and I advised them there is none as he has been bedbound since childhood though they seemed inconveinced when we were the ones inconveinced. Upon arriving in a waiting room we the nurse checked his vitals and we advised her of the pain he experiences from transport and a hard stretcher and she advised they will see him within 15 mins to prevent any added pain and discomfort so he could get in and out quickly. After an hr we were again advised of a 15 min wait time. After 2 hours we were again advised of a 15 minute wait time. Meanwhile my brother is in immense pain. Finally we had enough as he had a long ride back home in a bumpy ambulance and left!!! When we arrive the waiting room was full and patients were still arriving. When we left the only ones in the waiting room were the ambulance drivers. Dr. Carr had purposely seen EVERY patient and then SOME before he intended on seeing my brother. We had arrived to the appointment early and he still felt the need to make him his last patient, someone who is fragile and in immense pain due to his condition and transportating him and leaving him on a stretcher that long just exacerbated it even more. We will NEVER EVER go back to Dr. Carr again. He has NO respect for the disabled. Even the ambulance drivers were angry not because they had to wait over 2 hours but because the boy was obviously in pain and the doctor had obviously purposely skipped him. Terrible Terrible "doctor"!

Disgusted that they call themselves a family center yet they don't have changing tables and wouldn't allow me to take my sick daughter to the back to change her wet diaper. Not a very family friendly place. Lady at the front desk was rude and seemed like she just didn't want to be there today

Reginald V Brown Internal Medicine MD
Dr. Brown is a very knowledgeable and kind doctor. He has an excellent staff and I cannot recommend him highly enough. It is very easy to get an appointment and you never have to wait very long when you come in. I am very pleased with his practice.

Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
