D'Tails Pet Grooming
I wanted to write a note and say thank you for the care you give Shadow and Sophie. I had surgery this week and was a little stressed. Knowing my dogs were at D'tails made me relax knowing they will be coming home, tired from playing, groomed and ready to snuggle up with me while I recover. Christy has even sent me pictures when she knows I am Missing them. They always go above and beyond.... so thankful for all you do for the pups!

Thank you so much for giving Spencer a great "Spa Day." Tracey and her team of experts brought his huge overgrown coat under control. He feels a lot better and looks wonderful. Thank you!

The staff was wonderful; from my scheduling over the phone, to dropping off and then picking up. Christy did an amazing job with Titus, as this was his first 'official' hair cut! I would highly recommend D'Tails Pet Grooming.

We took our dog Jaxson there today and when I picked him up he looked so good and Jaxson looked so relaxed once I got him home. He took him a good nap so this told me he had a good experience. He will be going back there for now on.

I live in Atlanta and have tried several groomers for my Etta there. None compare to D Tails. I travel here every five weeks to get my baby groomed. It is definitely worth the trip!! The staff is so loving and caring. I feel that my baby is safe and comfortable at D Tails. I love it and Etta does too!!!

I have come to dtails before and the staff seemed very nice. Their attitude quickly change each time I left my dog there without adding a grooming package. The last time I left my dog they were very curt and rushed. Twice I would make a reservation for boarding, only to show up and they turn me away. They said it was a mistake with a very nasty and unprofessional attitude. The owner made excuses for their short commings, but didn't seem to care. It's unfortunate that they can't be honest and upfront about the requirements for boarding. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE!!!

We have been using D'Tails for 8 years and never a problem. Our lab is always excited to go there which tells us to she really likes it there. Staff is friendly & most know our dog by name over the phone which shows they are also personable.

You all did a fantastic job with my Rhodesian Ridgeback this week! I need to know what you used on him, because I've had a hard time with him shedding with the humidity in the south, even though they are a low shedding breed, and he has not been shedding at all for the past 3 days! That's a first in a long, long time...Thanks!

Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
