I have seen all the reviews on this property and decided to go and take a look. It is defiantly an older community and I would even go as far as to say they are just as old inside that apartment but they were clean. What I found was that the price was good and the staff was super friendly. So my husband and I took the leap and rented because of him being in the military we needed to secure something fast and they have the largest apartments in the area. Well things didn't go to smooth but I have to say they did everything in there power to make it right for us right away. I was very please with how they corrected everything for us. They even checked back with us several times to make sure everything was going good. So far we have been here two months and I have to say we have been please.

Could not be happier with these apartments! Leasing agents are super friendly!

I was going through a hard time financially and heard about fox den apartments. I was surprised at how modern the apartments were and how well kept they appeared. I pay a low rent but I dont feel like im in a unsafe neighborhood. There are kids running around and close family and friends. I am grateful for fox den.

I initially thought I would like Brookside, but an encounter with Rob is leaving me questioning my move. I"m hoping it was misunderstanding and things will settle down but I feel a Travon Martin situation in the brewing (not on the shooting level but on the stereotypical way)
3105 Wrightsboro Rd
if you don't care about your belongings and study time and you always want drama then this is the place for you. Management is crappy and maintenance never responds even in emergencies.

Nasty roach and bedbug infested, outdated, sorry maintenance and office staff, by far the worst apartments in augusta
8.A T C Devmnt Westchester Apt
2905 Arrowhead Dr
This appears to have been a low income/""project"" type property turned overpriced apartment/townhome complex. There is always trash all over the grounds, the grounds themselves are never kept (we had to weed-eat our own back area to keep from being taken over by bush), the fees are outrageous, and it is highly likely your apartment will be broken into whether you are home or not. Mine was and the property manager's response was to ""board up"" my gaping hole in the back door that used to be a window half the size of the door itself by using a black trash bag and what looks like the bottom of a child's toy chest, welcoming another visit from the intruder. I'm not kidding. There were rusty nails left in planters right outside of the apartments which were discovered upon a child stepping on them and being injured before they were removed, and their ""pool"" is an algae-filled teal/green cloudy mess of water that you cannot see to the bottom of. Yes, the townhomes are spacious; however, nothing in your home will work properly (ceiling fans wobbling and hanging out of the ceiling when you turn them on, large holes covered by planks under the bathroom sinks, non working faucets and door locks, bullet holes in the appliances and appliances are in sub-par condition. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life and I wished I'd googled this place long before moving here and I suggest you do the same. If you are at all concerned about keeping your family safe and secure, this is NOT the complex for you.... keep going!!
Live here at your own risk (but don't take my word for it... look up other reviews). In five months, there were FOUR break in's in neighboring apartments. My apartment was very dirty upon receipt. I cleaned a lot of it, and left it in a MUCH better condition when I moved out. I had a former property manager of another apartment complex help me clean it to make sure I didn't miss anything. I still received a bill for over $450.00 in cleaning charges, without specific explanation of the charges. Maria Donham is the property manager for Thornberry, Spicewood, and Iron Horse. She blames "Corporate" for everything. Watch out for verbal quotes and promises from her; she quoted that a payment due date was on Monday, and when the payment was not received on Friday she charged one renter a late fee. She quoted another resident with a charge of $100, and later changed it to $300 without notice. She quoted a pet rental fee of $10 a month, and the next day penned in $15 a month on the contract. When questioned about these contradictory statements, she repeatedly got a "snippy" attitude towards me. Be wary of promises from this unethical business and its managers... My fridge did not work upon moving in, and it took weeks to get a replacement. All of my food spoiled as a result, without so much as a sincere apology from the management. Phillips Management provides no notice whenever pesticide services, or other in-house services are needed. They give a key to the men who conduct these services. An unfamiliar man unlocked my door and walked into my townhouse without knocking while I was sitting in the living room on two occasions, without prior notice. The same happened to my girlfriend, and a female co-worker in Iron Horse Apartments while they were naked in the shower in their apartments. When signing the contract, after paying the excessive application fee, I noticed that the property management had pulled a bait and switch tactic, giving me a contract with different terms than what they showed me prior to applying. This was never corrected, and I signed because I had already forked over the application fee and didn't want to waste $100's for no reason. This business does not operate honestly. The property managers will tell you one thing, and do another. Read the fine print on the contract, which is not advertised on Phillips Management's website as of the date of this post. They excessively threaten eviction on their contract, charge a "pet privilege" fee, additional rent for pets, and unreasonable cleaning charges that will likely be applied whether they are warranted or not. Unwarranted charges are often applied, and residents are often hassled when they try to get the charges dropped... I suspect this is one of Phillips Management's business tactics. I have lived in 3 other apartment complex's in Augusta, GA, and have never experienced such incompetence, or such a high degree of unethical behavior from the property management. Live here at your own risk. READ THE FINE PRINT!!! They added a handful of little tricks to get $500-$4000 out of their residents whether the charges are warranted or not. Do NOT trust anything they say; get it on paper, and even then expect problems.
10.Charlestown South Apartments
2119 Lumpkin Rd
OK I'm a section 8 tenant and I feel as if they treat the non section 8 tenants in the townhomes with more urgency. The neighborhood isn't that bad the park is dangerous smh but as far as safety and comfortability goes this is the right place HOWEVER the only thing that makes this place suck so bad is the lazy manager.she takes forever to fix things and probably won't fix it unless they have an inspection. She lied to me to get me to sign my new lease because she wanted to keep my 400$ security deposit. Because the new lease states that you can't get your security deposit back.. I should have reported her cuz she straight up lied to me saying I could get evicted if I didn't sign it.... She's just the pits and I'm so ready to move from here I can't get out of here fast enough.. DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you HAVE to. Especially if u r on section 8 my floor was SOAKED with water for nearly 3_ months and all she did was send a giant fan over that ran my electric bill high and didn't fix it until the management company had an inspection for her.. Then and only then did they fix it oh and a new neighbor moved in. She send the guy to clean the water up but all he did was vacuum a small portion not the rest. And no matter how many times I complained about it she did NOT care until she had to... Which is always the case with her.

this place is not somewhere you want to live. I had to pay $135 today to get my car back after they had it illegally towed. You are not allowed to park anywhere near your apartment without paying $35 for a parking pass. On top of your $585 rent. These are bad people and they do not care about you.

My husband and I moved here in June, and since that time we've constantly had problems with our electricity. Our power goes out in the master bathroom, master closet, the switched outlet in the master bedroom goes out, and the power outlet in the guest bathroom goes out. So, while we at least have lights in one bathroom, there aren't any outlets to power anything. We have gone around and around with the management here who has done a terrible job handling the situation, and we are now in our SEVENTH service call about this. Our power often dies on the weekends, and even though we've called emergency maintenance, they put us off until Monday morning. Who knows what the root of the problem is and if the place will burn down in the night. Unless you enjoy taking showers by flashlight, we don't recommended it. We've also had problems about timely responses to leaking toilets, insects, and the parking situation. You are allowed one parking space per unit that is actually close to the building. Visitors are constantly taking up these spots and leaving you to park a good distance away. Our front door doesn't close well either, and you actually have to turn the dead bolt to really get the door to shut -- which makes me uncomfortable when I'm home alone. In short, the building is ~30 years old in desperate need of serious repair, and management is frustratingly irresponsible. Almost anywhere else would be a better choice.
926 Stevens Creek Rd
I had to move in pretty quickly and it was the only community that had anything available that day. In the beginning I thought it was a nice, quiet unit with decent management. Well... management and maintenance change CONSTANTLY. I never know who I'm talking to or when they started or how long they've been there. Consequently, its impossible to get certain maintenance tasks completed because one manager will promise something and then quit and the new manager has no idea what's going on. I have had multiple floods that caused mold in my carpeting (maintenance put a fan in the hallway to dry it, I had to go get my own shop vac and my apartment still smells of mold and must). I have had huge roach problems because of the cheap pest control they supposedly used (I went into my kitchen one morning and there were 5 roaches on the counters, floor, and ceiling!). The lawn maintenance team is ridiculous, they've broken my master bedroom window and chipped my windshield with flying rocks and they blow yard waste under my welcome mat (I've complained about this several times with no resolution). I even had another resident who was smoking and eating outside his apartment and then just throwing his trash everywhere, management/maintenance did nothing. The concrete roadway around entrance is constantly breaking apart and forming enormous pot holes because maintenance is too cheap to fix it properly. My carpets aren't attached to the foundation and the foam underneath is disgusting, I may as well have a room shaped area rug that is full of wrinkles. All in all, a terrible experience.
15.Iron Horse Apartments
4000 Iron Horse Dr
I stayed at Iron Horse for 2 1/2 years and had the same experience. In 2012 I spent the entire winter in the cold due to maintenance no being allowed to fix my heater. They told me that I needed a new 1 but management refused to pay for it. I talked to management about the consistent problem and offered to pay to get it fixed, if they would reimburse me or I would take the to court. There response was that as long as they sent maintenance out then that shows that they were working on it. My apartment was vandalized in June 2013. Not only was all of my things stolen but the fear that the burglars would come back hunted me and my child (who refused to sleep in her room since the event happened). Law enforcement's exact words to me while making a report was "break- ins happen all the time out here"I told leasing staff about it and they did not give a damn, especially Maria. I had cancelled my renters insurance in Feb due to management telling me that my $10,000 policy was not good enough. So I went back to paying THEIR insurance fee. I put in my notice to leave and cleaned my apartment thoroughly. They charged me an arm and a leg in cleaning charges and other fees and said the never received my notice to vacate. All they care about is getting their money by the 1st. [this review is the brief version of all I went through and had to deal with]Overall, if u enjoy being treated like ----...FEEL FREE

17.Mount Zion Garden Apartments- Rental Office
2445 Amsterdam Dr
This community has really went down in the past few years. There are very few upkeeps to the outside of the buildings and the upkeep to the inside of the apartments for existing tenants is horrible. Management does not seem to care about the well being of the tenants or complaints and issues that the tenants have. I would not recommend this as a place to live until there is new management and better living conditions.
