Nuttall Smiles
I can't say enough great things about Dr. Nuttall and his staff- I was a major fear and anxiety about the dentist until I found this office. From the time you call and speak with Jackie who is super super knowledgable and has a way of easing your fears and making you comfortable even over the phone and when it comes to insurance and payment etc - to val who was super sweet and took great care me and made me feel at home during my cleaning - to Liz who is absolutely amazing and made my crown procedure a walk in the park! She had me laughing and actually relaxed! They have tvs and pandora in all the rooms blankets etc- they went out of their way to make me feel great and did a great job of explaining everything - even showing me what was going with books and diagrams - which is super helpful when you have no clue about dental info- They even have this high tech laser that helps with different dental procedures. Dr. Nuttall was so kind and talked with me the whole time and had me laughing . I will never go to another dental office and am referring all of my friends. They have gotten me in same day twice now during dental emergencies. Overall a great experience every time I have been!

John B Carpenter DDS PS
n the last 20 years, I have always defended this place even when others said negative things. The dentists are great but the administration that runs the office lacks customer relations. In 20 years, I had one no show for a cleaning appointment which was totally my mistake and one time I had to cancel an appointment due to a business trip that I was told about at 6pm and had to leave next am at 6am. I called and cancelled the cleaning appt but it wasn't within their time frame needed Two times out of 20 years and they are charging me a $50 fee and until paid I cannot return. My wife has had approx. 13 root canals, 15 crowns, a partial, teeth pulled, etc. totals around $50,000 and they want to charge me $50. Poor customer relations to do this to long standing patients!!

My girls love coming to their appts. They get excited to see how many points they can earn and to get icecream in the summer. The staff is super nice and very helpful. I have worked in the dental field for years and I can tell when an office is run smoothly. I feel very confident that my girls are getting the best care and they will have beautiful teeth!

Nieman Robert K
I first went to Dr. Nieman more than 20 years ago. My kids also went to him. I appreciate his work. He never does more than he needs to and is very thorough and does it right the first time. Even when I have lived in different parts of the country, I came back for dental work. I love his office staff, too.

Had a really great experience here. I am afraid of the dentist normally and Dr. Leonard put me at ease with his knowledge and chair side manner. The staff is exceptional and friendly.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
