American Cut
I started my evening on the rooftop fully stocked bar overlooking the cosmopolitan view of the Buckhead shops and city. After quenching our thirst over happy hour. We headed down to the 2nd floor where we had reservations for dinner. We feasted entreees of various steaks, tuna tartar, family style sides of savory garlic green beans, perfectly seasoned brussel sprouts, icey cold oysters, pan fried golden potatoe cakes, gooey mac-n-cheese, and homemade biscuits (that reminded me of the red lobster bisquits). The divine wine full bodied wine was the perfect touch to our meal. The service was top notch despite the fully reserved restaurant. In receiving our check we were quite surprised that we had been charged extra for butter for our$30-50 steaks. I was not able lo finish my steak tuna tartar. After the third request the server finally up my food, but forgot to close the bottom of the tartar, which has seeped into the steak box and through the paper bag, which I then had to toss the unsalvageable food.

5Church Atlanta
5Church is awesome, y'all! I recently visited for dinner on a Thursday night. We started off with a round of cocktails. The Viper is true to its name. I loved the blend of tequila, cucumber, and cayenne pepper. For a starter, we noshed on the tuna tartare and pastrami-cured hamachi (think sushi-grade fish thinly sliced and topped with a radish garnish). Both were delicious. We then had the charred octopus, which was perfect. For entrees, we shared a few of the main courses including the filet with mashed potatoes (classic) and a vegetarian special: mushroom sausage. I'd never had anything like that before which wasn't tofu and I was pleasantly surprised. With our meal, our server helped us pick out a lovely bottle of pinot noir. Service was great. The whole staff at 5Church Atlanta aims to please. Also, 5Church just started lunch service, so I'll have to get back down there to see what's on the menu. I highly recommend this place - it's as good as it gets in Midtown ATL.

So I have to give myself props for choosing STK's 3rd anniversary party as the night of my first visit to the restaurant. I got to have an even better experience because it was party time!It was a bit louder than I'm sure it usually is. But it didn't take away from much overall. The DJ was really good. As for the food....OMG it was awesome! The bread that was brought out before our meals was tasty. I ordered the Skirt Steak with Crab Oscar (loved it) along with the Broccolini (so so good). Now, every time I see broccolini on a menu somewhere, I have to try it to see if it tastes the same. We also had Raspberry Mama shots and I had a Strawberry Cobbler (my drink was missing the graham cracker crusted rim for some reason, though). And because it was STK's anniversary, we received a free small bottle of Veuve Clicquot with souvenir glasses. Cheers!I'll be back for sure--whether it's to celebrate each anniversary, or I just want to enjoy an excellent meal and celebrate life.

Fork In The Road
I was so impassioned by the horrible review that I had to respond. No restaurant experience is ever perfect except for at a Michelin 3 Star restaurant, and I believe at this time that there are no Georgia restaurants that have achieved that high level of service and culinary artistry. Fork in the Road exists in a price range for the rest of us. I live for a tasty lunch option that is fairly priced. I would highly recommend trying Fork in the Road because the following:1. The menu selection is diverse2. The wait staff can be a little slow at times, but they are always very friendly. 3. The food is always tasty and hot. 4. The portions are a great value for the money. In summary, mistakes happen. I have little respect for anyone who cannot accept the occasional mess-up that accompanies an apology. All I can say is that the previously posted unfair review has only inspired me and several of my co-workers to patronage this establishment even more.

Amalfi Pizza
I would give Amalfi pizza a 12/10 if I could! Great new spot in Atlanta. We visited for a friend's birthday last week. The space is very open and simply decorated. It felt very European to me. The lighting was dim but really fit the mood of the restaurant. We started the night with a bottle of Prosecco, the meatballs and bruschetta. We then each ordered our own personal pizza! EVERYONE'S food was amazing- no one felt like they ordered the wrong thing which rarely happens in our group. (We all also finished our pizzas in one sitting- which never happens either. We couldn't stand to leave a bite behind!)The service was phenomenal, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was trendy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more upscale pizza experience. This is not a casual place to stop in for a slice- this is an authentic Italian experience.

Antico Pizza Napoletana
Antico’s has won numerous awards including Festa Della Pizza’s Top in Class Pizzeria and I can definitely see why! The pizza here is so delicious and is made the way authentic Italian pizza is made!My friends and I went on a week night and ordered the Lasagna Pizza ($20) which had meatballs, ricotta, and romano as toppings (shown below). The meatballs were really flavorful and their texture went perfectly with the texture of the ricotta cheese. The crust is purposely burnt a little but is so soft and doughy. I would easily order this pizza again. My favorite though is the sofia pizza!! My friend Harry also recommended the San Gennaro and Bianca pizza!I recommend coming here on a monday-thursday because otherwise it gets too crowded and there'll be no where to sit. It's also BYOB and community tables!

5Church Atlanta
Came here for a COT Thursday networking event. The ambiance is really awesome and the decor is very swanky with a modern retro twist. The catered freshly chef prepared food was a little too artistic for the crowd I was with though. Many people at the event had a hard time trying some of the exotic chef inspired dishes, which I thought were very unique and tasty. The polite and attentaive servers and bartenders constantly cleared empty dishes/glasses and inquired to replenish patrons with new drinks. The downstairs is not adequately sound isolated causing the room to get very loud from the echos of people talking. The outside bar/lounge area supplies the perfect view of Midtown. I am definitely looking forward to trying the food and cocktails at the actual upstairs restaurant.

I love everything about STK! The food, the atmosphere, the service -- it is all great here! Obviously, you can't go wrong with the steak at this midtown steakhouse. During the summer, try the 8-oz prime ribeye cap, one of the richest, rarest and most prized cuts of steak. It’s served with a green garlic butter sauce and pickled mushrooms (more details about it here: http://bit.ly/1TYMlrP). The menu changes seasonally throughout the year, but you can count on consistently good food every time you visit. Seafood is great at STK as well (love the seared scallops and the yellowfin tuna). Plus, there's always a great event going on in the bar area -- perfect for mingling and/or people watching.

Chama Gaucha
The location of this place is amazing and the outside area with the fire pit is perfect for a glass of wine with the girls. However, don't try and sit there to eat, because the ledge of the pit doesn't hold plates very well. The food is delicious and the bread puffs with cheese that they bring to each table are to die for. We tried the grilled chicken entree with macaroni and spinach. Amazing. The staff was a little slow, since we waited about half an hour and finally called a waiter over to take our entree orders. They also didn't see if we needed water refills. Other than that, they were fine. They have complimentary valet parking which is hard to find in Buckhead! Enjoy.

5Church Atlanta
I had really high hopes for 5Church. Cool location, awesome decor and an interesting menu. After having been twice, now, though, I can't say I'll be going back. The food is average - good, but the portions are so small for what you're paying for. I'm not trying to spend a fortune on an appetizer and salad. They also still have a few things to work out in the kitchen - they brought us a vegan dish with bacon on it, for instance. I'm hoping they can expand the lunch menu to be comparable to their other locations - the one now is super limiting. Hopefully they are still working out kinks and will be able to show us a better experience next time.

Just a moment...
