We've all been there, trying to find some fun social activity that means NOT hanging out in a bar. Agatha's is the place to go! Reserve your seats and be prepared to enjoy delicious appetizers, and a five course meal and amazingly funny comedy! Audience participation is a part of this so toss away your shyness and get ready to laugh out loud. Down town Altanta and this is close to a few parking garages. No flip flops please! Casual attire expected. All in all it was fun and funny definitely a good change from Thursday night sit coms...

Fox Theatre is not only overflowing with history, but an exceptionally beautiful venue. It is by far our favorite indoor venue ever. There are no bad seats, the acoustics are wonderful and the "stars" in the sky are rather amazing.

Terrific venue for a show.
349 Decatur St SE
I love Village Theater! It is one of the smaller and more intimate comedy theaters in Atlanta, but that's what makes it so great. Awesome comedians (there are a few regulars that are my favorites) and normally a great crowd. It's an improv theater, and they also teach improv classes that anyone can sign up for. You can purchase beer/wine and some snacks in the lobby before the show and at intermission - the alcohol is pretty cheaps, so load up! You can also purchase whole bottles and share with your group which is nice. Easy, free parking behind the theater as well!

No they do not have stadium seating or IMAX screens, but they do have a clean theater with the best mainstream and indie movies with a great staff. Oh and beer and wine too!
8.The Buckhead Theatre
3110 Chastain Dr NE
When I arrived to see Down last night I was impressed with the venue. The staff was not very friendly once you got in you had to deal with the rude staff on the main bar as well as the line that really didn't have to happen...this was due to a very non attentive bar staff. Instead of greeting you with a smile it was a scowl. Oh well.... The search at the door by security was a bit much...They felt ever part of your body! The look inside was awesome as well as the sound. The Balcony was a great place to sit for a few but the party was downstairs . Very large area to squeeze the party goers and great views of the stage were everywhere. The parking situation was terrible. Expect to pay $20.00 up close or take a short walk to Dominoes and pay $5.00...Your choice.....Anyway my overall trip to The Roxy Theater was a very good one. I plan to make many more trips from Nashville to see the great lineup of Metal Shows that are coming through there. It is definitely a don't miss in Atlanta!!!
9.Regal Cinemas Hollywood 24 At I85 North
3265 Northeast Expy NE
This theater is the very best Atlanta has to offer. The sound and video quality is superb; the seating is spacious and very comfortable as well as similar to that of recliners and also contains cup holders. Each theater has excellent wheel chair access with a helpful spacious floor area in the middle, unlike most which require wheel chairs to have to sit up front or in the very back. The lobby sports a café, game room and standard concessions with a free refill special, though is quite expensive. Both the theaters and bathrooms are very clean and I've not ever seen a theater as clean as this one. Security is high with many guards, which is much appreciated in this post 9/11 world. A little history that probably the employees don't even know, it's been there for many years and was originally a drive-in. It has a Fandango kiosk.

Theater of the Stars is a community asset. Like most regional theaters, we are a not-for-profit organization run by a Board of dedicated volunteer Trustees. This means that we are owned by the community and not by stockholders. Any profits that we earn are reinvested into the company to help defray the risks inherent in producing musical theater. The government also assists by allowing us to seek and accept tax-deductable contributions from the community to help support our mission. Theater of the Stars is a local theater company. We have also played a leading role in the birth or development of several of Atlanta's artistic institutions including the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Atlanta Children's Theatre. We also founded the Grand Opera in the Park, the Winter Play Series, and the Just Us Theatre Company. We annually employ hundreds of Atlanta artists and other professionals for our productions.

What a cool venue! Saw Fitz and the Tantrums there and really no bad seat in the house. Convenient location, great indoor atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks.

By far, my entire family's favorite movie theater in Atlanta. Seats are super comfortable, and we love that we can reserve our seats in advance.
14.Dad's Garage Theatre
569 Ezzard St SE
I gotta say that this place kinda surprised me. I was invited by a friend to see a show here and really didn't expect much. But boy was I wrong! The show was awesome - I had a really good time. It's a casual place - not stuffy at all, and there's a cool rapport between audience & actors on stage; really neat.

We went here for the Josh Groban concert. I love the fact that you can bring your own cooler and alcohol in. But make sure you check your tickets before you do, as some artists do not allow outside alcohol and coolers during their concerts. I highly recommend you Uber to this place, because parking is a nightmare. The seats are uncomfy, but other than that, it's a cool venue.

I went to Center Stage for one of the nights of Cake last month and I really enjoyed my visit. It's a venue complex so you had the main theater where the concert took place as well as the small room Vinyl open this night as a smoking room. Love this feature since there is no smoking inside Center Stage. It got warm inside with all the people but luckily they had a cheap coat check. Re-entry was no problem switching between the two venues for smoke breaks. Security just checked for a hand stamp and knew you after a couple of in and outs. Drinks aren't cheap but aren't any more than other venues like Masquerade and probably cheaper than Tabernacle from what I remember. No issues with the staff or security like the last reviewer had, I thought everyone I came in contact with was pleasant. Inside the venue you've got standing room and sitting. Seats are a nice option especially with general admission since you get your pick of whatever view you want (but I'll get there early from now on with sold out nights like this one!) I'm looking forward to going back this week for the return of Glassjaw!!

I loved this funky little club. It's an intimate hole in the wall type atmosphere which I think is totally cool!! The bartenders were friendly and provided quick service. It's the kind of unpretentious place you can go to relax and listen to great music. Up and coming bands can have a space to sharpen their claws. I recently had the pleasure of hearing The Langour play an AWESOME 30 minute set. This band is going places!! Chris Sonnier (guitar, lead vocals) is a gifted, crowd pleasing, and unique frontman. Wesley Sweetapple (drums, vocals) is reminiscent of a young Keith Moon. His raw, hard hitting style makes it impossible to keep your eyes off of him. Brandon Boxx (bass, vocals) keeps the rhythm with a perfectly timed, well trained bass style. See this band in an intimate setting while you have the chance. The Vinyl is the perfect planting ground for young local bands to go from being obscure to legends.
19.Alliance Theatre at the Woodruff

Alliance theater is the best in the city. They regularly get top actors and actresses with amazing scripts and the audience is high class. They also have an active volunteer program too.

The seats at this movie theater are sent from heaven. One of the most comfortable movie theaters I've ever been to.
