Kaplan Orthodontics
Dr. Kaplan and his staff are in a league of their own. From the state of the art facilities to the smiling faces every time we visit, Kaplan Orthodontics makes every visit as fun as visiting an Orthodontist could possibly be. We have been working with Kaplan Orthodontics since 2007. Dr. Kaplan never tried to sell us on services that were unnecessary to correcting my daughters alignment issues, in fact, he always provided us several different options and price points to consider. This is a practice that stands behind their work. I am also proud to be a client of a practice that takes giving back so seriously. From patient appreciation events to local sponsorships of different teams and organizations, Dr. Kaplan is a star within our community! I can not say enough good things about this practice and Dr. Kaplan. Anyone needing orthodontic care can rest assured you will receive the highest quality from Dr. Kaplan! Kudos to Kaplan Orthodontics! You are THE BEST!

Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists
Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists have the best Orthodontists in town. Dr. Rathburn and Dr. Stewart were wonderful to our son. Dr. Rathburn was very conservative and honest about what our son would need for his teeth. They explained in great detail and laid out an easy to understand plan. Dr. Rathburn spoke to my child with respect and kindness and took great care of him. We had a broken bracket on a holiday weekend and she met us at the office and fixed it!!! We see Dr. Christopher Brady on a regular basis and can not say enough good things about him. He is awesome and so nice. Great with kids! Everyone who works for Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists is professional and kind. We could not have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Christopher Brady, DMD
Dr. Brady was recommended to us by our dentist and we have been so happy. I have two kids receiving ortho treatment and appreciate the methodical approach Dr. Brady uses to make sure their teeth and bites are corrected for the long term. His office uses SureSmile technology so their methods are very advanced and cut down time in braces. Plus, his office staff are very friendly and the office is super convenient to home and school.

Dr. Christopher Brady, DMD
We see Dr. Brady at Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists on N. Highland Ave for our daughter who now has braces. We couldn't be happier with the expertise and professionalism of him and his staff. They are all so nice and patient and willing to answer questions. The facilities are modern and sparkling clean and located in a very convenient location to us as we live in Candler Park and our daughter attends Mary Lin. Highly recommend.

Dr. Christopher Brady, DMD
We visited 4 orthodontic offices, looking for the best fit for our oldest child's case. While this office was not the least expensive, they have more than made up for that with their straightforward and current approach. Will take our younger children here without hesitation when the time comes.

Rathburn, Melisa A DDS
When it came time to contemplate orthodontics for my children, I wanted someone I could trust. My kids' excellent dentist referred us to Dr. Melissa Rathburn. We've been so pleased with her recommendations and the treatment the children have received.

Moody Williams Orthodontics
Dr. Williams and his crew know their stuff. My daughter's teeth look fantastic after their orthodontic care! However, they are definitely not the lowest-priced practice in town. This is the Buckhead location; there is also a midtown location.

Dr. Christopher Brady, DMD
Dr. Brady has been courteous and caring during our visits. He takes the time to explain all options thoroughly. He has not tried to force any unnecessary treatments on my child. A real bonus to have close by.

Dr. Christopher Brady, DMD
I was recommended to Dr Brady by Dr Moran. Dr Brady came up with a treatment plan for me (an adult patient) and it was effective and quick. The whole office is very professional and the location is great.

Atlanta Orthotics
Great experience at Atlanta Orthotics. The owner took great care in making sure my orthotics were fitted properly the first time. Many of my back issues are now a thing of the past.
Tips & Advices
While going to the orthodontist can be difficult, sometimes it's necessary. If you are concerned about tooth alignment, feel your jaw shift, or are experiencing problems like difficulty chewing or grinding your teeth, it's time to see an orthodontist.
There are generally three types of braces patients can be fitted for at the orthodontist:
  • The more traditional option, bands, wrap around most of a patient's tooth.
  • Brackets are the most popular, applied directly to the tooth in metal or plastic form.
  • Lingual braces are brackets attached to the back of teeth.
People of all ages can wear braces to straighten their teeth, but it is most common to be fitted for these adjustments between the ages of 10 and 14. This is the time when teeth are better able to be straightened because the head and mouth are still developing.
The American Board of Orthodontics recommends finding a dental specialist that is board-certified, offers free or reduced-price consultations, and displays qualities such as trustworthiness, ability to communicate effectively, and attentiveness.
Orthodontists must complete a four-year undergraduate program to gain admission to dental school. After earning a Doctor of Dental Science degree at an accredited four-year dental program, students must then either complete a post-degree training program or one to two years residency in orthodontics. Then they need to earn a state license in order to practice. Certain states also require board certification.
