I could not believe my eyes when I saw the Maitre D. A real, live Maitre D. I thought they were a thing of the past, but C&S has kept tradition alive not only with their staff, but with their quality and excellence on the menu as well as customer service.

We went as a group of 8, my wife and I, our 4 parents, and our 2 teen daughters. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing.\r \r Everything we tried tasted fantastic, from the soup and salads, to the sushi, to the entrees. I'm used to my fish being either slightly overcooked or over seasoned. At Goldfish, it was neither. The sea bass special was cooked perfectly, with minimal seasoning. Our table also had mahi-mahi and grouper - both of which were outstanding. The sushi was fresh and delicious.\r \r This was a birthday celebration, and a dessert was brought out by the waiter - everyone else ordered and they were top notch. This is not an inexpensive meal, but if you want a special dinner, I highly recommend it.

Came here for a midweek dinner with some colleagues, and it did not disappoint!I had the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The shrimp were plump and fresh, and the cocktail sauce was flavorful. For my entree, I had broiled Bali Barramundi. Never heard of this before, but I was feeling adventurous. I topped it was the jumbo lump crab oscar. Once again, the seafood was fresh. The staff was extremely attentive. When I got up to freshen up in the powder room, they came and cleaned the very few crumbs that were on the table and re-folded my napkin for me. Dessert was the Crème Brûlée, and I enjoyed it as well. The server suggested the Dr. Loosen Blue Plate Riesling, and it was divine. And to top things off--We asked the hostess to call a cab for us, and she got us black car service instead. Granted, it was a few more dollars more. But it was like the perfect end to a great evening. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and will certainly be back.

Groupon purchase finally got me in this restaurant. Passed so many times while eating at Murphy's or .shopping at Chico's. I was really satisfied with the GREAT Oysters baked Rockerfeller, Shrimp Scampi and Parmesan crusted oysters. Ummmm . Don't miss the sumptious platter of HOT Alaskan Crab legs, U peel Shrimp, Clams, Hot in the shell Oysters... AND come ready to work at opening everything and smelling a little fishy afterwards. Looking forward to my next forage.

Kinda loud and noisy. Televisions everywhere and it is perfect if you like a lot of noise, but when you are trying to have a conversation it might be challenging. The food was calamari was omg incredible and the salmon blt sliders were worth coming back for. The combo tacos not so much, lot of filler not enough meat.

Tried it for the third time and have finally found the secret to having a great time at C&S. Rule #1 Sit at the bar. Rule #2 Order whatever you want, but only when you want it served. Rule #3 Let the beautiful and talented, Virginia, do her magic. She could be one of the best ""bartenders-at-a-restaurant"" in Atlanta.
299 N Highland Ave NE
Combine Caribbean seafood with a modern and chic gastropub atmopshere and you get Beetlecats. The addictingly non chewy calamari is lightly breaded and fried. The ultimate crowd pleasing Whole Fish is stuffed with lemon wheels and fresh herbs and spices. Definitely try one of their tantalizing drinks from the fully stocked bar. For sandwiches try the lobster po boy, and for a side nosh on their tostones.

Really liked this place. The place was clean and the atmosphere was great. Tthe cebiche and the mofongo were phenomenal. The menu had so many choices that I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. I would recommended this place to anyone who would want to try something new. Can't go wrong.\r

Overall a good restaurant. I think the portion sizes could be a bit bigger as I ordered shrimp scampi pasta and I didn't have much noodles. The service was just ok. I was there for a birthday party and it seemed as though the servers were overwhelmed.

Love, love, love this place! I've had breakfast there a couple of times and got addicted to the shrimp omelette, but my last visit was the best. I attended the WAOK launch party for Al Sharpton & Warren Ballentine and I felt I entered a new Sweet Auburn Bistro (SAB). The atmosphere was filled with beautiful African American people enjoying the great tapas (the egg roll's my favorite or was it the Beef Wellington pastry) and yummy drinks (love that strawberry mojito). Later on as I listened to the band play as my waiter, Jay, displayed how much class and sophistication SAB has as he arranged my place setting on the table and placed a cloth napkin on my lap as I awaited my Cheesecake with warm peaches. Service like that is rare and I ate it up...literally.\r To sum up my experience, I'd have to say that It was (as I imagine) reminiscent of old Auburn Avenue back in the day when Atlanta's movers and shakers gathered to discuss changing the landscape of Atlanta and the world. Looks like the landscape has changed and has a bit more class and style.\r Much success to Glen Law and his fellow partners.\r Peace

I visited Fontaine's Oyster House for the first time with a new friend.I valeted my car for free nearby which was very convenient. We sat outside on the terrace and it was beautiful! Our server was excellent- he was not only attentive and friendly but was extremely helpful as I dove blindly into the wine list. The west coast raw oysters (Kumamoto) we started with were AMAZING! Perfectly petite and just the right amount of salinity. We also ordered the lobster roll, shrimp, scallops, and mussels to share. All cooked and seasoned to perfection. Ask for extra bread with the mussels so you can sop up all of the delicious broth!! Overall, the experience could not have been better. I will be back very, very soon!

This is a great place with good food. I was looking for some fried catfish and I was told about this place. One of the things that I find amazing about them is that they will create what you want. You can ask for one piece of fish fried and they will make it. They also offer it grilled. I also find a great deal on on-tail. You must try the hush puppies because they're amazing. I'm from Florida so the fact that they will cook your blue crabs is hot! This is a seafood place to try.

This is my Monday night after work spot. Each and every Monday they have Martini Monday where all Martinis are just $5. They also have a tapas menu that goes great with the drinks. The servers are alway nice and they make you feel welcomed. I normally sit at the bar because I enjoy meeting new people and each time I come here I have a great conversation with someone. You must try the fried goat cheese and the watermelon salad these are two must have dishes. They also have the normal dinner menu that you can order from during this time as well. This is just a great spot so, you want go wrong dining here. Make sure you drop in on a Monday and bring some friends.

Location: Right near two urban licks. They offer complimentary valet parking because the parking can get very tight. Atmosphere: Cool, hip, and peaceful. They have a big wooden tree and fountain in the center of their restaurant, which is very serene and modern. The decor is very simple and allows you to focus on their food and bar. Food/Beverages: They offer a wide array of beers, cocktails and food as well. Their dishes range from traditional japanese items such as Okonomiyaki (japanese pancake) to other yummy dishes such as their georgia white shrimp. We ordered the curry ramen, spicy bacon ramen, Okonomiyaki, georgia white shrimp and gommae. Their ramen is extremely flavorful and not the typical ramen that you imagine. It is also very filling and their soups are very rich as well. Their Okonomiyaki was very, very good also. Their version had bacon and lobster and was cooked to perfection. The georgia shrimp appetizer featured locally grilled shrimp served over spicy mayo, which was delicious also. The gommae was a bit different than others because it tasted like chrysanthemum, which was pretty cool and different. My favorites were the Okonomiyaki and the curry ramen. Service: Our server was very sweet and attentive. She made us feel very comfortable and helped us answer any questions that we had. Overall: Cool, fun and delicious place to grab ramen when you are on the Beltline. I also love that they offer so many other choices and a late night menu as well. After 10pm, they offer a ramen burger. Usually they do not close until 2am on the weekends, which is a great option for people who want to grab a drink or late night bowl of delicious ramen. They do not serve your traditional ramen, but ramen with a good twist. It is nice to have something different from time to time and Nexto is doing a fantastic job at this.
