Location: Right near two urban licks. They offer complimentary valet parking because the parking can get very tight. Atmosphere: Cool, hip, and peaceful. They have a big wooden tree and fountain in the center of their restaurant, which is very serene and modern. The decor is very simple and allows you to focus on their food and bar. Food/Beverages: They offer a wide array of beers, cocktails and food as well. Their dishes range from traditional japanese items such as Okonomiyaki (japanese pancake) to other yummy dishes such as their georgia white shrimp. We ordered the curry ramen, spicy bacon ramen, Okonomiyaki, georgia white shrimp and gommae. Their ramen is extremely flavorful and not the typical ramen that you imagine. It is also very filling and their soups are very rich as well. Their Okonomiyaki was very, very good also. Their version had bacon and lobster and was cooked to perfection. The georgia shrimp appetizer featured locally grilled shrimp served over spicy mayo, which was delicious also. The gommae was a bit different than others because it tasted like chrysanthemum, which was pretty cool and different. My favorites were the Okonomiyaki and the curry ramen. Service: Our server was very sweet and attentive. She made us feel very comfortable and helped us answer any questions that we had. Overall: Cool, fun and delicious place to grab ramen when you are on the Beltline. I also love that they offer so many other choices and a late night menu as well. After 10pm, they offer a ramen burger. Usually they do not close until 2am on the weekends, which is a great option for people who want to grab a drink or late night bowl of delicious ramen. They do not serve your traditional ramen, but ramen with a good twist. It is nice to have something different from time to time and Nexto is doing a fantastic job at this.
MidCity Cafe is an extraordinary spot amid the day to do work (free WiFi), observe a few games, or meet with a companion/customer. They have different TVs more often than not playing some sort of games and the staff is cordial and open to changing the channels when inquired. The sustenance is not regular bar nourishment, MidCity offers an assortment of soups, servings of mixed greens, and sandwiches and the quality is the thing that you would expect of some other kind of bar, reasonable. They have an extremely decent open air yard with outside warmers for those crisp evenings. It is likewise puppy benevolent and they have open air outlets so you could work outside and charge your gadgets. Around evening time the bar has an incredible domain. Continually playing awesome music running from a wide range of classifications and for the electronic music fan they get numerous DJs amid the weekends so watch out for their occasions. The group here is dependably exceptionally social, benevolent, and entirely fun! You'll frequently discover individuals moving inside, chuckling at the bar, or having a smoke and associating outside. The staff here are well disposed, snappy, and aware. They've generally treated me well and I've generally seen them be extremely quiet. General I would very prescribe this spot!
This is a quaint family owned cafe in the bottom floor of my office building. If you turn onto Glenridge Point Pkwy, there are two office buildings, this place is around the back of the building on the left side of the road. In this area, there are few lunch options despite a lot of office buildings around. Bon Appetit has two home cooked lunch entree options each day, and about 6-8 different sides. Some of my favorites are their Sesame Chicken, Meatloaf, and Salsbury Steak. The pricing is very affordable. They also have a varied selection of items you can order off the menu anytime. My favorites include Philly Cheesesteak(or chicken philly), Chicken Quesadilla, and their burgers. They also serve breakfast every morning, my with a variety of breakfast options available. The ownership is very friendly, and remembers the way I like my food prepared(bacon crispy, what veggies on top, etc.) I just noticed there had not been any reviews, and for anyone else in the area that struggles to find places to grab a quick bite for lunch that offers variety and affordable pricing I would definitely recommend giving Bon Appetit a try!
Obviously you can have southern solace sustenance at pretty much 9 million spots in Atlanta however in the event that you need southern solace nourishment that touches the soul...get to Busy Bee. Halted in on a Friday evening and obviously there were 1700 individuals there yet we were situated immediately. The space is super little however hey this spot has been around for a considerable length of time and certainly has that old school charm about it. The comfortable vibe kinda made you have a feeling that you ventured into your grandparents home. Our server, Tawanna, was great. She took care of our enormous gathering extremely well and never overlooked anything. She was so agreeable and accommodating. A large portion of us had the fries chicken uncommon for $11.99 that accompanied two side and johnnycake or a roll. The fries chicken was hot and fresh and tasty. The Mac and cheddar was made with adoration and the green beans were prepared with bliss. The sweet tea was so justified, despite all the trouble. I cleared out full and glad!
Have you ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse or a Chinese dim sum? Imagine both but with refined Southern food and if you haven't gone to either.....you're in for a treat. This was a very unique dining experience. I was NOT expecting cafeteria style seating with my date sitting on the opposite side of me and other patrons so close to me but I LOVED IT. I was so curious to see what others ordered and ask if we should order it as well.Gunshow serves amazing small dishes and the actually chef comes out and presents each course to you. The drinks are made table side. I did feel bad declining some dishes since it looks so yummy but after dish number 5 - I was stuffed. This by far is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta due to its creativity, amazing food, and ambiance. The menu is constantly changing with revolving chefs. I wouldn't recommend it for a first date, since it's quite loud and busy, but definitely worth it with friends, family, or if you're in a relationship. We parked on the street. :)
It took us several weeks to book dinner at The Optimist and we were really looking forward to it. We were impressed when arriving. We had requested the Chef's table, but there wasn't one, so we were seated where we had a view of the kitchen. We love to watch the chefs so this was perfect to meet our request. The appetizers were good, the cocktails were average. Although we had a pleasant waitress, she did forget one of our crudo items that came after the entree. Our entrees were both fish; one swordfish that was cooked perfectly, and Cobia, which was not. The Cobia was raw in the center and very disappointing coming from a Ford Fry restaurant. My expectations were set high for this restaurant and although they did many things "right", they also had some mistakes and there was nothing to set the dining bar as I had expected. We do not mind paying higher prices for a great "experience", but this was really a let down as to what we've come to expect from a Ford Fry restaurant.
The obvious comparison is to the Twist near door. Limited menu is appetizers, salads and small plates. Maybe 15 wines. 1 Cab that I remember.Tried the pork terrine. Vacuum of taste, even with chutney sauces. Literally sucked the expected flavor from my imagination. Tried the pork samosas on waiter's recommendation. Same tasteless shredded boiled pork, but deep fried in filo dough in greasy limp turnovers. Wish he would have advised me I was ordering the same meat twice in a row. Tried the beet salad since its hard to screw up this dish. Got a dome of diced beets with fruits and goat cheese. Get a real beet salad at Barcelona's in Virginia Highlands. The atmosphere was nice; the service on par for a buckhead joint. Loud music outside from cheap speakers like nails on a chalkboard - at 4:00PM. Need to get better sound system, or make the music background to conversation.Yebo needs to step up to the plate and deliver, or die next to Twist like the last place there.
In my mind I classify this restaurant as a pretty southern one. In terms of setting, There are cheap plastic chairs here and the parking is kind of sketchy. In terms of food:Jerk Chicken + Rice+ Black Beans– My roommate thought the chicken was too spicy for his liking but he said you can’t go wrong with the rice and beans. Corn bread was a bit on the dry side though.Turkey Meatloaf+ Green Beans+ Mashed Potatoes- I enjoyed this meatloaf and would get it again! This combo was pretty tasty but the green beans were somewhat average and could’ve been better in my opinion.BBQ Chicken+Mac & Cheese + Broccoli– My friend liked the barbecue chicken and he let me try his Mac & Cheese. I thought it tasted great and liked that it was made with white cheddar! My best friend got the sweet tea with her dish and she mentioned that it wasn’t that great. She also said that the ranch for her salad also seemed water down in a way. Wish we had better things to say about those items!
This place was recommended to me by one of my friends because it is her favorite restaurant! PURE serves free chips and salsa (yay!) which is always a great way to start a meal. My friend and I love cheese so we ordered the Queso Gringo ($5.99) which “is a traditional mexican cheese dip served with pickled jalapeños”. We mixed the jalapeños into the cheese and it made for an awesome spicy dip- I definitely recommend it!“Taquitos de Pollo”- I loved how crunchy these were and how the ingredients definitely seemed high quality. For my sides, I also got Mexican chorizo rice and charro beans. This restaurant is spacious and has a parking lot for easy parking! My friend and I went on a Sunday night and there wasn’t a wait! We sat outside where there was a cute little patio! i definitely recommend going to PURE Tacqueria for a meal! I think the food could be compared to something you’d find at La Fonda or Tacqueria del Sol but it was still delicious and filling!
Went in for lunch Friday at 1:30, only one table had people sitting, a table of 7. I stood there at the foyer entrance for a few minutes then (sat myself). Waitress came brought me a water and took my order, last I saw of her. I filled my own water again at the bar and after 45 minutes someone from the kitchen brings out my order, it had the wrong side, I didn’t say anything since I had to get back to work. Again filled my own water at the bar, and found my original waitress at the back cleaning tables. I asked her for the check, she said Ok. Another 10 minutes go by, she’s still cleaning. I went to the bar left $13 (my best estimate) with the bartender and left. Huge waste of time. The food was good, the place was clean. Owner, your location is great, your menu looks good, you spent a ton of money on furniture and TV's but service like this will drive us luncher's away. Some of us eat lunch at a place before we bring our friends and family.
