In 1999, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America named Estes Heating and Air Conditioning the Residential Contractor of the Year. With a fleet of more than 20 service trucks, Estes Heating and Air provides prompt service throughout the Atlanta area. In addition to heating and air conditioning systems maintenance, the company also specializes in installation and system replacement. It carries a number of name brands, including Amana, Carrier, Comfortmaker, SPACE-GARD, Aprilaire and Honeywell. The company also offers duct-cleaning services. Estes Heating and Air was founded in 1949.

    Estes HVAC does not honor their warranty. My system came with a 10 yr extended warranty, but Estes sais it was only good for 5 years sine I was not the original owner. Really? Are people going to move their HVAC system from house to house! The reps spent more time weaseling out of doing the work than addressing my concerns. The "top guy" I spoke with was Joel H. He was rude. With one call I found a replacement company for less money and eager to serve. Another customer lost over an item that was questionable that it needed replacement. Lastly, they practice deceptive marketing by using an official looking form that references the Clean Air Act, and they make you sign off that you are refusing to buy a "leak search" which costs 400.

    I Called Este Heating & Cooling on Monday, May 21,2012 to report my ZERO satisfaction with installation of air unit the same day to Sandra. I told her this feels like a bait and switch, the air installed is not cooling, installers say we have to spend more money to properly cool the home, the installers left without completing the job. Sales person Chris did a poor estimate and did not check his estimate before install as he said. I am not happy to have to waste time getting this company to get this right. HOWEVER I am ready fight to get what I paid in full for: A COOL HOUSE. Shame on Estes for ignoring a customer and not adhering to their advertised policy of Great customer service. My credit card has been charged 4884K without resolution to the problem on Tuesday, 5-22-2012 and the install is not complete...why charge my account? BEWARE of booking business with this company, service so far is ZERO. I live in Cincy and dealing with them long distance, I selected them because they used to perform my service calls when I lived in Atlanta. Nothing but regrets to date on this job...I'll keep you informed

    I am a regular customer of Estes and recently had a service call on my system. As usual, great service. The customer service people were friendly when I called. They were able to accommodate me with scheduling a service call around my busy schedule. The technician arrived on time and explained all options available to me in order to resolve my issue. Just great service from start to finish. Thanks Estes, customer for life.

    Estes Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc has been a nightmare. The installation crew’s professionalism was very poor and craftsmanship worse. First the installers showed up late and took twice as long to install the Carrier Gas Furnace and A/C unit. One of the installers chewed tobacco during the entire installation process. They made several mistakes during installation of the Carrier Gas Furnace and A/C unit. Three of the worst issues with the installation are; tried to install a line set to the new ADP Evaporator Coil with a kink in the line set, (the installer said he has done it before and would have done it again if I had not asked him to repair the kink), improperly install the condensate pump and drain hose to the condensate pump. If I had not discovered the hose leak there would have been major water damage in my finished basement. The installers also knock loose the exhaust vent on my hot water tank, which I discovered while repairing the drain hose. After voicing my concerns to Estes Heating and Air Conditioning they sent a Quality Control Technician,” clean up man”, that spend 4 hours fixing other issues including putting the proper amount of refrigerant in the a/c unit.

    Now 33 days after installation the Carrier A/C unit has stopped working. I can only guess it is because of another problem with the installation.

    I highly recommend not contracting Estes Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

    The review ""when businesses turn bad"" is unfair. Since this person does not identify who they are we can't respond directly to them. I assure you Estes Heating and Air has NOT 'gone bad' . We are committed more than ever to provide quality service and customer satisfaction. This person probably called on an extremely HOT day in August and we may not have been able to immediately respond. We do appreciate their business and sincerely hope we can be of service to them in the future. Tommy Estes, President

    Used them for years because they were a family business like ours and seemed to be dedicated. This all changed in the last year, This is ironic because the economy has forced companies to be a little more compliant in general but not ESTES. They would make tentative appointments and never make them permanent. They always had excuses of being so busy, etc. I used to think that loyalty to a company would get some sort of equal response in return but not so. Their serice has definitely gone way down

    Our family had used Estes for over 40 years. We used them for rental property and our own home. We ALWAYS paid on time. In March we were out of town when a tenant reported a heat outage. We asked that they go out. They would not because we were not in town to pay. We have found another company to handle out heating and cooling properties. We were astounded that they would not go out when they KNEW that we were excellent customers and had been for years.
