Mosquito Curtains Inc
Hi Kurt, Recall that we live on a boat, that I suffered West Nile Virus encephalitis last year, given to me by some passing mosquito, that we needed to protect my wife before the upcoming mosquito season, that you made up curtains for the open-able windows in my boat and that the curtains had black mosquito mesh held inside 1-inch wide white belts. When they arrived, we put in the first snaps for the first curtain, then went on to do all of them, and the results are fantastic! The curtains are just elastic enough so we can pull them 'tight' over the wood frame outside the windows and get a good enough 'seal' to prevent mosquitoes from entering along the sides. And, the curtains block very little light and none of the view, just as we had hoped! After installing the six curtains over the outside windows, we came inside and put up the curtains under the two skylights. Again, everything worked perfectly. Amazingly, from the outside, you do not even notice the curtains.

All Versa Tile & Shower Door Co
My husband and I hired All Versa Tile to install our shower pan and tile our bathroom. We had a particularly tough project due to the age of our condo, but Bob saved us! He built a perfect shower pan and tiled our entire bathroom (shower, bathroom walls, and all floors) and did the whole thing in only a few days time. Bob is a professional! He did such a beautiful, perfect job in our bathroom that we also hired him to tile our kitchen. Of course he finished that project in record time and did a wonderful job. Now our kitchen and bathroom are the highlight of our condo, all thanks to All Versa Tile. I have recommended them to several friends and I would hire them again in a heartbeat should we need their services. A+ ! Thank you so much for making our house a home!

Affordable Remodeling
I hired Affordable Remodeling after searching for a Remodeling company in the Buckhead Area and they promptly returned my call and we were able to move forward with the process very quickly. Affordable did an EXCELLENT job renovating our master bath and kitchen. Their work was flawless and they did not stop until the job was done beautifully. When their electricians went to plug in their saw and realized one of my outlets wasn't working he offered to fix it and even did a great job with that! This company is an honest and very detailed contractor. It's not easy to find a contractor who does a wonderful job without a personal recommendation, but this is one time when my google search paid off! I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!

Affordable Handyman
Lonnie showed up at my door exactly on time. I had four different things to get done: bury a cable (not too hard, anyone can do that, just didn't want to get my hands dirty), fix a toilet paper holder that kept falling off (he moved it to a better place and patched the hole), repair a leak and fix a light. He unfortunately couldn't fix the light because the transformer was dead and Home Depot didn't carry it. But at least he identified the problem (he was an electrician in the past) and I can order the part myself online. Lonnie did a great job on everything and was very polite. The owner followed up later with a call. I wasn't happy about something (communication issue) but he did what was necessary to fix the problem.

HandyPro of DeKalb/Fulton
HandyPro has already handled three separate remodeling jobs for me, and I am very satisfied with their work. They're definitely a cut above the stereotypical contractor. The sales rep wasn't pushy and answered my questions without hesitation, the contractor consistently arrived timely for the jobs I scheduled and when he was held up he called and explained. The contractor was attentive to my questions regarding the work in progress and performed a walk-through with me after each job to make certain that I was completely satisfied with the work and cleaned up after each job. These guys are top notch in my book, and I will be using them again in the near future.

WFG Handyman & Home Imprvmt
WFG Handyman/Home Improvement did a fantastic job in restoring my rental home. It had been totally trashed and severely abused. I was referred by a Cousin and hired WFG Handyman/Home Improvement to do major repair work all through out the home, while I was in the process of moving back to Atlanta to live in the home. From mold & mildew to painting, and replacing fans and light covers to purchasing and handing my blinds...all this was done and with perfection. I would definitely refer WFG Handyman/Home Improvement to anyone, especially if you are looking for professionalism, courtesy and great prices. 5 stars WFG Handyman/Hone Improvement!

Bh Customs And Repair
I recently contacted Brian to do some repairs in my home and am very please with his work. His communication with me was great, which is important to me, he gave me a great price and there were no surprises at the end. It took him 6 days to complete the work and he was on time every day and stayed later than I expected him to each evening to ensure the job was completed by the date we agreed on. He is a friendly man and made me feel comfortable having him in my home. I am very please with the work he did and will be calling him again at the first of the year to work on another project in my bathroom.

Pronto was great! Our pro was clean, professional, and did great work. We had a long punch list from after we moved into our new house. Everything from fixing a shower faucet, hanging curtain rods, touch up paint, patching dings in the drywall, fixing the fence, building a bench seat in a bay window, hanging blinds, fixing doors, attic door install, child proofing, picture hanging, and the list goes on. Pronto was awesome!

The overall experience with Pronto has been excellent. From the first contact to the end of the job, they were very prompt and efficient with everything. The professionalism with follow up calls from the office, arriving on time and Andrew's attention to detail on the job are just some of the kudos well deserved. Highly recommend Pronto and would definitely call again for home improvement needs.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
