I bought a lifetime alignment. I found out that they didn't document it correctly. They say I purchased a 3 month alignment. They also tried to get my wife to spend about $3000 on her car that wasn't necessary. The place will rip you off. Keep your receipt, you will need it.

I personally worked in this industry for years so I know the game. Checked my rear brakes and saw I needed rear shoes, called them and they say sure $149.99. The next day I take it in and they call with a estimate of $493.00. They wanted to put on wheel cylinders as well. Wheel cylinders cost $32.00 plus labor lets just say labor was $100. That would bring total to $281.00. How in the heck do they get the bill to $493.00? Got it done at the dealer for $291.00 This Pep Boys needs to get it together!! Can you say rip off! I will not be back!

Recommended new brakes & replace rotors on a truck under 50k miles. Took to ford dealer -- they said it DID NOT need new brakes and rotors only needed resurfacing. This was recommended after I'd taken it in 2 weeks earlier, they said tires needed balancing--I'd been there 2weeks before for them to rotate & balance them!! They can't be trusted. I WILL NOT GO BACK. This is my family's life that I am putting in there hands when I go there for my vehicles to be serviced. They can't be trusted

Women Beware!!!!!! The testosterone in the management of this pep boys will make you feel belittled, unappreciated as a customer, and dismissed. On top of all that my vehicle left with the same problem it came in with, under THIS pep boy's care.

An awesome buying experience. We went to see the car one day and went back and purchased the next day. There was no high pressure and nothing to make you leave feeling all icky, which is how I felt after visiting some of the dealerships in Huntsville. When you do go, be sure to visit Max a/k/a Santa Claus and tell him Michelle Payne sent you. You won't be sorry! :-)

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
