REACH Of Asheville
Horrible Experience. We took our little MinPin to Reach on Sunday afternoon. She has diabetes and could not stop vomiting. We had all medical records with us to make the vet's job easier. Anyway, we waited about 1.5 hours to see Vet. after reviewing records and checking our dog she came up with a treatment plan estimate $1200 to $1500, said they wanted to keep overnight to test blood every 2 hrs. When told we could not afford this, she said "Well if you had Insurance" There were Ins brochures all around office. We asked the Vet to please take the most conservative approach till we could get our dog to Our Vet on Monday. She really wasn't to happy about this and told us we could also apply with Care Credit, a finance company that would defer interest for 6 months. We declined and finally after 4 hours of mostly waiting, we left with our dog receiving a shot for vomiting and antibiotic, since she had UTI. Total of $212...They have very expenxive overhead, state of the art equipment and if you can afford their prices, you will get high-end treatment. As for us, it was a miserable experience.

B & B Pharmacy
This place rocks. Especially the pharmacy and pharmacists. They are truly a throwback to a bygone era where the neighborhood pharmacist takes care of you as a neighbor. We had a glitch with an outdated insurance card, and because we'd been in recently, or maybe just because, were allowed to receive the medicine for our son and call back with insurance numbers when the new cards arrived. They are always on the lookout for how to make a prescription more suitabl for the patient. For instance, twice and with two different doctors the amount of medicine to the ratio of pills or syrup was unfriendly to kids, and the pharmacist took it upon himself to offer an easier to ingest solution with the same dosage. We are impressed. And it's locally owned!

Fox Run Veterinary Services
Fox Run and Meg Presley don't just talk the talk - they walk the walk when it comes to truly caring for animals. You get the best for less than anyone else charges. It is perfectly clear that the animals - not the money - is their motivating factor. If you want a fancy, luxury environment, you won't find it here - that's not their priority. They operate on a first come, first served basis, so if you can't be patient and wait your turn, this is not the place for you. But I have always found it to be worth the wait - and the substantial savings, to take my pets to the truly caring folks at Fox Run. (And as if she wasn't already busy enough, Dr. Presley does volunteer stuff too.)

REACH Of Asheville
Took our shih-tzu their on a Sunday,He had gotten hit by a car.The doctor told us that his pelvis area and legs were completely crushed and that it would cost us approx. 7000 dollars and recommended a Dr in Greenville to try to repair him or it would probably be best to put him down because he would probably never walk again. As you can imagine the emotional state of mind she put us in.The next day I contacted our vet he knew exactly who to send us to, in Asheville.Needless to say it wasnt even close to that much and our beloved doggy is back to 95% and runs.

REACH Of Asheville
Dr. Wood and his crew are extremely professional and caring folks. Our dog required fairly invasive surgery for a cruciate ligament tear and Dr. Wood took lots of time to explain the injury and treatment options. Then, he did a great job doing the surgical repair. Finally, they provided great post-surgery information and advice that is helping us get her back to normal.

Whittington Chiropractic
I am a runner and was having lots of hip pain. Dr Whittington helped me pretty quickly and I would recommend him definitely if you need a chiropractor. I did not have insurance but his prices were affordable and I didnt feel like he was trying to charge for extras to run the bill up, that was nice. He really helped as I was having lots of pain and now it is better.

This is a very good organization for those whom require a guardian. My personal experience with Hope for The Future has been an ouutstanding experience. The Guardians that I have worked with have been very helpful, caring, supportive, and understanding. REACH Of Asheville
We have taken our little dog, Daisy, to REACH 3 times in the past 9 months. She is growing older and has some issues that cause her to plummet quickly. Each time, Daisy was handled with the utmost care and concern, as were we. Our highest regard and recommendation is given for this organization. We cannot shower them with enough praise.

His brilliance is equal to his compassion and understanding. He has been a blessing to my life.
Tips & Advices
A child psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in issues that affect the mental and emotional health of children and teens. Child psychiatrists can provide treatment for children and teenagers who suffer from depression, autism, anxiety disorders, attention disorders, drug addictions, eating disorders, mood disorders, and a wide range of behavioral problems.
Psychiatrists typically ask questions that focus  on the issues that are having a negative effect on your life. In an initial visit with a psychiatrist, you may be asked about symptoms you've experienced, and ways in which you've tried to deal with them. You might be asked about current and past medical conditions, as well asa family health history.
A referral is an authorization from your doctor saying that a certain type of treatment is medically necessary, and it's usually required if you want your insurance company to cover the costs associated with a visit to a psychiatrist. If you don't have insurance, a referral is not required to schedule a psychiatrist visit.
Psychiatrists and psychologists sometimes collaborate, and this typically takes place when working with patients who have serious mental health problems. In cases like this, a psychologist will treat the patient from a behavioral perspective. A psychiatrist will complement this treatment with care that handles issues concerning biology, neurology, and the prescription of drugs.
Many psychiatrists specialize in treating certain conditions. Some psychiatrists focus on substance abuse therapy, and this is the treatment of addiction to substances like alcohol, narcotics, and tobacco. Others specialize in biological psychiatry, which is the treatment of brain chemistry disorders like depression and schizophrenia. Psychiatrists might also specialize in treating elderly patients or children and adolescents.
