Easy Street Auto & Tire Service
Great prices! Great service! Great Experience! I called 39 shops to find the best price and this place beat them all out of the water! The shop looked a bit rough, but knowing they just moved and were recently purchased made it very understandable. I was extremely happy to know they allow customers to bring in their own parts, which is a plus for anyone trying to save money. Also, I was happy to know they take their time to focus on their customer's needs, issues and concerns as well as their own work, which was also done in a timely fashion. Thank you to all the guys out at Easy Street Auto for all your help and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great prices, great service and a great experience!

Bobby Auto Service
There is a difference between repair shops and true mechanics. Bobby is the real deal. I have been to most of the shops in town, and in the last 5 years none of them could really get my jeep running right and a good deal of them ripped me off and did nothing. This Guy knows cars, he is clearly not one of those mechanics that relies on a Scanner to tell him what Replace. In fact a lot of the cars he works on (including mine) are vintage pre computer and pre fuel injection. The guy is a carburetor wizard . If you want your car fixed right take it to Bobby. My classic Jeep has never felt better, and I feel that his prices are very fair for the quality of his work.

M & D Tire & Automotive Repair
I brought my vehicle to M&D and was very surprised at how at ease they made me feel. I needed a lot of work done on my vehicle and was definitely nervous what it was going to cost me. However Keith and his Wife put me at ease right away with a full explanation of what I was going to need, and what I didn't need in order to save me money without sacrificing my safety by not getting certain things done. I feel this missing in most car shops these days, most other cars shops would have tried to squeeze ever dollar out of me they could. M&D is the real deal and I would recommend them to anyone needing automotive repairs.

AAA Carolinas
My car broke down while traveling. Thanks to AAA we got a free tow to the center. It turned out to be a pretty big repair. Called my mechanic back home and talked to him and he told me Carolinas AAA was actually quoting me a lower price than his estimate was showing! Work was done quickly and they were excellent at communicating with me. I have NO complaints whatsoever and am glad if I had to break down out of town, I was able to use them.

Sam's Radiator & Auto Service Inc
Professional and trustworthy do not begin to tell you what an incredible experience I had with Sams Auto service. He treated me like a daughter and gave me his expert advise when I was at my darkest moment with a car I wished I had never bought. Honesty is always the best policy and I totally trust this family with my automotive needs. He has a lifelong customer in me and my family.

M & D Tire & Automotive Repair
Thanks Keith it’s great to have “Dealership service” for the workingman price. It is also great having that communication through the whole process. Some places today make you sit in a room and rot for 8 hours. You did a wonderful job with the alignment of my front tires. The traction is better and so is my piece of mind. We will be bringing our other friends to you soon great job!

Organic Mechanic
I would recommend The Organic Mechanic to anyone that truly cares about the quality of their car repairs. They are incredibly thorough and easy to work with. They don't do work that doesn't need to be done and always are very clear about options. I have never been less than impressed and will go there first for anything my car needs.

Crossroads Towing
We have AAA, and they were not dispatching anyone in the snowstorm. I decided to call around locally, and we were so grateful that Crossroads Towing came out to us in 40min despite the weather!! Pulled my SUV up and out of the driveway in less than 10 minutes. VERY reasonable fee considering the weather. Thank you!!

VJ's Auto Service
VJ's is absolutely great! I moved to Asheville at the end of 2009 and they came highly recommended to me. Ever since they've been taking care of my 1988 Honda Civic which I just refuse to give up. I don't think they charge enough actually, and they go out of the way to help me. Just check the Yelp reviews.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
