Organic Mechanic
I would recommend The Organic Mechanic to anyone that truly cares about the quality of their car repairs. They are incredibly thorough and easy to work with. They don't do work that doesn't need to be done and always are very clear about options. I have never been less than impressed and will go there first for anything my car needs.

Xpertech Car Care
We've been using this repair shop since moving to Asheville in 2005. Honest, professional and fairly priced. XPertec is where the bar is set, for automotive repair excellence, in Asheville. There may be a better, harder working and more honest shop somewhere, but I doubt it.

Took my vehicle from a paid lot. I showed the app where I had paid, the time left on the lot and they physically threatened me, told me take it up with the App but good luck. This is not a good company, unethical, borders on illegal, wants to intimidate you by threatening physical violence and hides behind the ruse that its not them but the app. Had I know it was available to me at the time I would have contacted the Police Department for a stolen vehicle. If you find they have towed your car illegally, make the police your first call and avoid dealing with these people.

Was referred to this shop by a local with long experience with Logan.I felt relaxed with this referral and felt that I did not need to be onguard. The last work I had done was just to have my freon filled. Logan was not present and his employees did the work. They charged me $10.00 for the freon and $90.00 labor. Since I don't have this done often I couldn't remember the general cost. Looking back I my last freon fill another shop charged me $10.00 freon and $10.00 labor. The fill this time was not complicated or time took 20 minutes. Won't ever trust them again and looking for a new shop. Now questioning my last service which was much more expensive than I expected but didn't question the bill because I trusted them. Done with trust.

Great quick carwash, great service. Pull in, they spray prep your car, drive thru, they towel dry you off before letting you leave. Fast and good staff.

I would give ZERO stars if possible. Extremely rude staff. They have a route that they follow to tow people parked in their own apartment complexes or random lots all over the city then charge an outrageous amounts of money to retrieve vehicles. Signage about the potential to be towed is very small and not updated so they have more excuses to make money off anyone at anytime. They are greedy and make their money by stealing from other people then act like you are in fact the scum of the earth for calling them out for the unethical preying upon others to make money for themselves.Check Out These Other Reviews for the TRUE STORY(since this business deletes the other review images I uploaded! auto safe towing asheville* for all the details!

These guys did a great job of not taking advantage of me in a bad situation. My car had an engine problem that needed an in depth diagnosis and Bobby worked with me to get to the root of the issue, was very upfront with me about the costs and gave down to earth, human advice.

This company is undeniably crooked and they take advantage of socially and economically disadvantaged populations to make money. They have a route that they follow to tow people parked in their own apartment complexes and charge them outrageous amounts of money to retrieve their cars. They are greedy and make their money by stealing from people who are barely scraping by. Please boycott this business and their workers to prevent them from further taking advantage of the Asheville community.

Ripoff! Charging too much. They are out of there mind to charge $195 for 5 miles distance. I'm disappointed to come in to contact with them.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
