Parked car in visitor parking spot with visitor parking permit on dash. I wake up to go to work at 330am looked out window car is gone! Called towing company they said permit wasn't completely filled out!! How can they tell ? If permit was folded ? Do they slim Jim the lock and pop door open to check it? $280 something dollars this company has nothing else better to do.

We are very pleased with AC's Towing Service! A.C. was friendly, arrived within the timeframe he gave us, and was affordable. He was able to get our van home within 35 minutes. I highly recommend AC's Towing!!!

As a small business that uses this company I have to say maybe some of you should read the signs posted that say private property, your car may be towed at the owner's expense. Or if in an apartment complex, usually there is a required sticker or certain assigned spaces, so don't park illegally- then gripe about it. You broke the law.

Honestly, if I could give this place no star, that's exactly what I would do. Danielle was so rude (could be a racist). She laughed at the fact of my car getting towed. $283 for a 30min hold is flat out ridiculous!

This company took/ stole our car from our paid parking spot at from our apartment complex at 4:40 am this morning. This is when everyone is asleep, unaware, and cannot have any way to stop them. There was no courtesy call, warning, notification to our apartment complex. We woke up thinking our car was stolen and called the police. The police had to tell us it was towed and we are freaking out wondering why. The worst part is they damaged our car. There is puncture/hole in front bumper to where they put their towing materials on. We had the Arlington police come out to view car as it was being retrieved. We are so frustrated and feel robbed of our Christmas money and now having to deal with car damages. They have zero sympathy or compassion. They don't care about inconveniencing us. We were late to work, too. It was a horrible situation and they just give attitude and treat us like we were the ones that did something wrong. Even one of the employees was walking out with a smirk on his face. It is very hurtful. This is an unethical business. Also they refused to show the photos so we could see damages that said were there prior to being towed and when my apartment complex sent them to me there wasn't photo showing bumper. The lady that worked there lied to me and said the damage was there or that they had proof. I filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Enforcement Division and an investigator will have to go out there. We have to file claim with our insurance. We can take it further to small claims court and this costs money, however the officers in our jurisdiction and Arlington said they are willing to be subpoenaed if need be. This is just a horrible company. They don't care what they do to people. I can understand if we were illegally parked or our car was in repossession but our car wasn't and that they damage the car is the part that really hurts.

This company is HORRIBLE!! Extremely rude and lacking any and all professionalism. They towed my car and when I picked it up and paid $300, they had STOLEN OUR LICENSE PLATE!!! They claimed they never had it but I know for a fact that they do. So not only are they rude and thieves, they are running an illegal business. I cannot even believe this company is allowed to get away with what they are doing. Absolutely absurd.

Excalibur Towing Company
Here is how i lost $300 to this towing companyI booked a reserved parking slot at Knightsbridge apartment where the towing company had not not provided the parking stickers in time and hence was handed over a temporary pass.Though i was paying the rent regularly , the temporary pass expired and my vehicle got towed. On enquiring the leasing office said, the permanent stickers came in a week back and i did not collect it. Looks like a modus operandi to create opportunities for making money. And in the towing companies yard, you will experience the rudest behavior ever. My vehicle's steering got locked and i was struggling to start and the staff said that i will have to step out of their yard, if i was not able to start the vehicle in the next 5 min. or call my towing company to tow it back. Worst company/staff behavior ever. Lost $300 in spite of paying $20 per month for my parking lot regularly.Knightsbridge said it was my mistake. Excaliber looks for an opportunity to make money
Tips & Advices
Yes, most roadside assistance coverage plans offer towing services. There might be certain restrictions, however. For example, the plan may only cover towing services for a certain number of miles. Drivers should check with their providers for details.
Which cars are covered depends on the roadside assistance provider. AAA services are available to members and not specific to any vehicle. As long as members pays their dues and have their membership card on hand, they can use AAA for someone else's car. Generally, auto insurance plans cover the car itself, not the driver, so people can't use their roadside assistance for another. However, details vary between providers, plans and local laws. Drivers should consult with their insurance providers to see whose cars are covered.
Roadside assistance coverage varies depending on the provider. However, they generally include:
  • Tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Towing services
  • Locksmith service
  • Minimal mechanical labor
  • Delivery of oil, fuel, batteries or other parts
If a driver has a flat tire and no spare, roadside assistance services can deliver a new one. However, these services will not pay for the cost of the tire. That will be the driver's responsibility. Based on the location, some will tow a car to a tire dealer.
Most roadside assistance plans offer gas delivery and service. However, clients are generally responsible for the cost of the gas.
