Advanced Physical Medicine
I cannot say enough about Advanced Physical Medicine. Dr. Allen and her team are awesome. Dr. Allen cares so much about her patients and co-workers. Being a patient at APM is more like being part of an extended family. I have been a patient for over 5 years with Dr. Allen. Dr. Allen has helped me get rid of migraines. Since I have been her patient, I have had maybe 2 migraines. Before her, I was having migraines daily and was on medication. I was able to stop taking medication and still keep the migraines at bay. The massage therapist, Keicha, is amazing. The room is always very clean and organized. My husband and I have been getting massages there since before Keicha. She is by far the best masseuse they have had at APM. Keicha is not just a masseuse, she is a message therapist. She always starts by asking what problems you are having. Sometimes I go in and need the full body massage; front and back. Other times, I just need back massage. She has always worked out all the knots and stress in my muscles. She doesn't just massage; she actually gives you suggestions to keep those knots from coming back between massages. If you are a chiropractic patient, she also takes into consideration your chiropractic care when deciding what type of massage is best for you. She works great with Dr. Allen and not against her.A couple of years ago, we also saw the weight doctor. Working with him, I lost 15 pounds. My husband lost 25 pounds.

Quality First Senior Care
Quality First Senior Care has assisted us in the care for my sister, Betty, for over 3 years now. Betty had a brain tumor removed, followed by radiation treatments. Unfortunately, almost a year after the surgery and radiation, Betty began to experience localized seizures and we had to move her into an assisted living facility. We contacted Bibi Pedrosa and the other folks at Quality First Senior Care to provide additional assistance for my sister in the facility where she was placed. They have been excellent in responding to our needs and have provided very good care for Betty. I should mention that Betty is a large individual (approaching 300 pounds at one time) and Quality First made certain that she had people who could handle her and who were reliable. Betty has been treated as a member of the family and cared for lovingly. Unfortunately, my sister's health is continuing to deteriorate and she is now largely bed-ridden and cannot communicate effectively. Her current caregivers are providing her excellent attention and encourage her to reach her maximum potential. Our family has come to depend on Quality First and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. David Lee
Dr Lee is a young man with very definite ideas about medicine and very little understanding of elderly people. He may some day be a good doctor but he's not there yet. He seems to have little empathy for his patients. I think there's even a bit of contempt, a feeling of "Why do these people let themselves get in such a sorry state." He always seems rushed. I dont think he is in the room for 10 minutes and on my last visit he was typing into the computer for seven of those minutes. He made an incorrect assumption about one of the meds i am taking and i feel he made an incorrect decision because he wouldn't let me speak. This is not medicine as it should be practiced. No one could be efficient or offer good care working like this. It seems to be all about running as many patients through as possible and giving as little back as possible.

Gorski Timothy N
Dr. Gorski saved our baby's life and my wife's life. My wife had a difficult pregnancy; she suffered from pregnancy-related high blood pressure called "ecclampsia" that actually caused her to pass out (it could have caused her to have a stroke and killed her and our baby). Our old doctor said she fainted because she had a full stomach and it was nothing to worry about. We were still worried so we switched doctors to Dr. Gorski who correctly diagnosed her ecclampsia and got her treated for it. A few months later my wife gave birth to our healthy daughter. "Highly recommended" is not saying nearly enough about this gifted, talented doctor.

Anthony T Tran B MD FACS
Dr Tran is such a nice and friendly person. He always make me comfortable with every visit. I love my new breasts. Now I look so curvy, sexy and loving my new body. Yes, I have breast augmentation done at Dr.Tran. He did an amazing job. I got lots of looks and compliments from strangers and friends alike. His patient coordinator is very patient and and answer all of my questions. The receptionists always remember my name when I come. I recomend him to all of my friends. Jeniffer Salinas

Citi Med
I have been visiting Dr. Pohn and his staff for several years now. The first come first served nature of the clinic can sometime result in a long wait. I have been to the clinic at times when the wait is very short. Dr. Pohn is very friendly and thorough, he hires Nurse Practitioners and PA's that are very good as well. Most of the nurses seem to be in training or new, but that does not diminish the care. The office staff is efficient and friendly.

Dr. Mark P Batrice, MD
This doctor is hands down the BEST physician in Arlington and maybe one of the best in the Nation. He has countless awards for pioneering research in pathology and can find out whats wrong with someone when the rest can not. He CARES about his patients. The staff will treat you like a family member and make you feel right at home. This is hands down the best Doctor DFW has to offer.

Metro Medical
We have used Metro Medical for several years. We liked the Dr. we were seeing but the management went from bad to worse. Our Dr. recently left Metro Medical because we think he finally got fed up with the way management screwed up everything. The wait time was usually an hour or more and there was a constant turnover of the staff. The gals who took patients in were NOT nurses.

Advanced Physical Medicine
Best place to go for any aches or pains ... I love the staff and that is very hard to find now in days. In just a few weeks I am moving 10x better . I would recommend this to any one with back issues . I am 31 and when I went in I felt like I was 60 just getting out of bed hurt . Every day helps me regress back to may age.. Who knows I may be 21 by the time they are done . :)

Citi Med
Dr. Phon is a great doctor however his staff can cause a bad reputation for his clinic. They are rude and have problems listening. They are condescending and treat patients that speak little English as inferior and trivial.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
