Money Works Tax Service
If only I could give hundreds of negative stars!!! I used these people on a referral. I cannot express this enough...do not allow these people to complete your taxes. I took my information in to have them complete my taxes. They were late and had to file an extension BUT they continued to state it would be done on time and when it came down to the date they refused to answer my phone calls and emails for 11 days. They finally got around to send in my taxes a month later but they were rejected and they never called or told me this happened. Another month later, the IRS had stated they had not received. I called Money Works and they said "Oh yeah, we received the rejection notice about a month ago." They could not give me an answer of why no one had called. My taxes had to then be filed via mail and they stated they sent it. I was never given a confirmation number. I continued to check with the IRS and they continued to state that they had not received. Two months later, I finally had to take off work and go into their office to get all of my paperwork. She continued to say that she could not find my information and she would get it to me later. Our conversation was not good. I finally got my paperwork and had to file myself. 6 months total! Sorry for this to be so long but need to get the word out! So disappointed! This office not only does not complete the work but they lie and try to receive payment for work that has not been done.

Specialist Inc, Tax
Best so far! I highly recommend. I had an IRS problem that no one else could solve until they helped me see what mistakes were done. They not only corrected my back taxes, they cut my tax bill in half. Great staff!!

Mercury Tax and Insurance
Don't go here, I tried to go file early to avoid the crowds, I sent my mom here a year ago and my mom was audited and now owes the IRS... First thing that stood out to me when I walked in was all kinds of liquor sitting on the receptionist desk as soon as I walked in.. Then the receptionist just looked at me instead of greeting me or asking me who I was there to see... Second the tax preparer act like she did not know what she was doing, lastly what stood out was her saying she has to get more training when the IRS comes BACK to the office.. Big red flag!! Spoke with another tax office that stated that if It's comes to pay a visit to an office, the WHOLE entire office is being AUDITED... Don't go here!!! Listen to these reviews

Intergrity Tax Returns
Terrible place! They falsified information on return and now I'm paying the cost. Not only that but I was told I would receive a different amount than what the IRS said they sent a check for! They stole $800 from me and the owner won't even take responsibility for his associate who screwed up!

C & N Tax Group
Everybody watch out. They stole my whole tax refund. They used green dot cards this year and had mine sent to there location. They had activated the card which requires your ss# and drained the card of $5800 from banks located next to there office locations. Then they told me they could do nothing about it. Do not trust them at no means.

Yes. Communicating with the IRS can become complicated, especially for the layperson who isn't well-versed in the field of tax law. A tax attorney can help ensure an individual is taking the right approach and is staying within the law.
  • What do you specialize in?
  • Do you have references?
  • What credentials do you have? Are you licensed to practice in this state?
  • What is your hourly rate, and what is the cost of an initial consultation?
Yes. Tax attorneys must first earn a law degree. Then, they must pass the state bar exam specific to the state in which they practice. Some may choose to further their education by obtaining a master's degree in taxation law or taking the CPA exam.
Though both are experts in matters related to taxes and taxation law, there are some key differences between certified public accountants and tax attorneys. Tax attorneys focus more on the legal side of tax law. They have a law degree and have passed the bar exam. CPAs focus more on the financial side of tax law. They have passed the CPA exam. To take this exam, individuals must have 150 or more college credits, and typically some work experience.
