Goza and Carreras Atty At Law
I was referred to Brian Goza in August of 2015 after a situation that occurred that warranted me in hiring a defense attorney. I have never had this kind of need and I had no idea who to choose or how to search for a defense attorney. I was grateful for the referral and I had the exact opposite experience as the last review. Brian is a polished professional and a fantastic listener. He offers great and sound advise, knows the law well and is a great negotiator. He fought hard for me and he wouldn't back down. There wasn't any pressure to settle, it was my decision after he presented me with the pros and cons of the situation. Brian even told me he would go to trial if necessary, and the choice was mine. He was always at court when he promised, he returned my calls and emails, and when he couldn't be at court, he would reschedule my time, or he would put me with his law partner Kara, who is also a dynamic and no-nonsense attorney. I often told Brian he was the only person I could trust and the only attorney I actually liked. I felt very protected by him and by Kara. They weren't going to let anything happen to me and I was extremely grateful. I hope I never need his help again, but I highly recommend him and his office to anyone who needs to feel like they have an advocate, anyone who needs to feel protected and anyone who needs an excellent defense attorney. As far as I am concerned, he was highly underpaid!

Law Offices Of Stephanie A Foster PC
I found out about Stephanie Foster's law firm at the tail end of my divorce. And so very thankful I dropped my prior lawyer and hired her & her entire staff. The lawyer I had started with blamed me for the many month(s) delay and called my questions stupid (I'm still not over that). A dear friend shared my story with her daughter who highly recommended The Foster Team. All I did was make a phone call, meet with Stephanie and it was as if they scooped me up, placed me back into my life all within a few days (remember I was at the very tail end of the proceedings already). Oh how do I wish that I had known of The Foster Team so many months prior!! They were not only above and beyond in customer service to you as a client, but strong and forceful on your behalf to get the job done for you. You are not just a client to this Team - you are a person. That's what meant the most to me. Thank You Stephanie and the Entire Foster Team :-)

I would highly recommend Stephanie and her team to any one going through a divorce. The moment you walk in the office, you have a feeling of "everything is going to be fine". My son and I filed for divorce on the same day and proceeded with Mrs. Foster and her team. They were very professional with both of us. As a mother, that was the most difficult time of my life, to see my son hurting and trying to stay strong for each other through these divorces. Mediation went very quick for my son. And for me, it took two mediations, but Stephanie got me through it all. Stephanie and her team made this one of the easiest things possible to get through. They picked up where I couldn't. My son and I were very happy with the services that they provided for us. Stephanie and her team have become part of our family in a sense and we will always be thankful to have hired Mrs. Foster and her team.

I absolutely recommend Stephanie Foster! She and her team went above and beyond my expectations for my custody case. There were some complicated matters involved being that I had a small child, and the dad was on drugs. She and Ashleigh always put my mind at ease. I knew I was in good hands the whole time. She has hundreds of cases she deals with on a daily basis, she never forgot the details to my case. She and her legal team were always on top of everything. I always got a quick reply if I ever had a question or concern. I got everything I wanted, plus more!! I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. If you're looking for an attorney to win your case, choose Stephanie. She is by far the best out there. I usually never write reviews, but I am just so pleased by the outcome of my case.

Over all, I worked with SF Associates for two years and there never was a moment I questioned my wisdom in choosing her!One of my sons is an attorney....so I have heard and seen many sides of lawyers.Stephanie knows every side of divorce and is totally professional....but a total caring lady that takes the time to ask about how her client is emotionally doing! She is the only Divorce lawyer I have meet I would recommend!

Goza and Carreras Atty At Law
Brian and Cara are each very likable people. However, I highly recommend using another attorney! Court is usually at 9am and I've sat in the court room until at least 11:45, just waiting for one of them to arrive and make contact. Hiring them wasn't a problem.. upon any future attempt to contact them about my case, I haven't been able to reach them or receive a call back. I did receive an email one time though. It's just a very frustrating problem during a very stressful for me as it is. Also, was given false expectations and saw an unwillingness to help fight for my case to be dismissed and was forced to settle. Very disappointed and I hope no one else has to go through an experience like the one I had.

Ms. Carreras was appointed to represent my niece who was facing serious criminal charges. We were extremely grateful to have her representing our niece because she truly went above and beyond. Kara updated us immediately on every development of the case and even texted us from her hospital bed when her appendix ruptured! She truly cares for her clients and is someone you can trust to handle a tough case. She negotiated and got the sentence greatly reduced. Highly recommended!

Schenk Leigh Ann
I used Leigh Ann Schenk for my child custody case and she was very professional and took care of all my needs regarding my case. She was dedicated and I could not have asked for a better person to help me. She made me feel comfortable and I felt like she always had my best interest when in the courtroom. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will represent you in the best interest for your family. Thank you Leigh Ann!

Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
