Newell's Automotive Center
Based on several different visits to Newell's over the years, I have to say that Mark, the owner, has treated me as fairly as anyone I've ever seen. Recently I was told by another auto shop that I needed about $1,250 in repairs done to my car (which is probably about the total blue book value of my entire vehicle). I took it to Newell's to have the same service done for $920, which is a savings of well over $300. However, once they got my car up on the rack, they called me and told me that those repairs were NOT needed. Mark could have just gone ahead and done the work, making a quick and easy profit on repairs to my car. However, he was honest with me, and it cost him that profit. But HONESTY and INTEGRITY seem to be the order of the day at Newell's Automotive. To all who might read this review, allow me ask you a question: When is the last time an auto shop was perfectly honest with you, even when it cost them significant revenue? Well, Newell's did just that, and I won't soon forget it. This is rare in the auto repair business, but Newell's has treated me right from day one. They have earned my trust.

Bob Ts Auto Service
This service shop and owner are awesome! When driving from Texas to Kansas on Christmas Eve, our truck engine started to misfire badly. Knowing it was probably a spark plug issue, we began looking for a repair shop in Ardmore to help us. Not many places were open on Christmas Eve. Found one, Clark's Derby, who said they could do it but had to go to lunch first and would be back in two hours. Seriously?!? Started calling around and reached Bob T's. Bob, the owner, told us he was just shutting down to join his family for Christmas Eve, but told us to come in anyway. He was able to fix the problem fairly quickly and had a great attitude. He could have charged an arm and a leg since we were between a rock and a hard place trying to get to Kansas on Christmas Eve, but he priced his service fairly. He even directed us to a nice neighborhood diner where we could eat while he did the work. Can't say enough about Bob T's. Great guy - great work!

Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
