Whitney's Tire-Brakes Wheels
Whitney gets it done, you cant change the fact tens of thousands of tires and endless tie rods were correctly installed. Sure many a loser wants to insist its not a fact great things happen here. They seem focused on destruction. Whitney plows ahead , guided by desire an urge to close great deals.

24 hour tire and bring chips and pop to truckers stranded. I am a fan because of their long term employees.

Great tire and repair shop, especially if its late at night or a week end. They go to you and have a large inventory of tire and parts.

Scio Foods Party Store
They have terrible service and plenty of expired goods on the shelves. Everything is covered in dust and the "owner" was very rude to my daughter when she asked what was on the pizza he said "meat, you want it or not?"

Zingerman's Roadhouse
My husband and I went to this restaurant because a friend told us, "we just had to go", when in Ann Arbor again. We were both extremely disappointed in the quality of the food and blatant rudeness of the employees. My husband got a $19 macaroni & cheese dish, that was bland and way too greasy. I got the kale salad and had pit chicken added. The salad was mediocre, at best, and the chicken was so dry, it literally made my mouth dry every time I took a bite. Our server never came back to the table once we placed our order. She also would not make eye contact with us so we couldn't even get her attention. We needed more water, we had only got the first glass never a single refill, so my husband got up and got a pitcher from the server station. That got our servers attention and she let us know, in a very rude fashion, that we couldn't have a pitcher to ourselves. At this point I was ready to walk out, but it gets better. One of the hostesses comes to the server station to dry glassware and our server goes up to her and they are talking, then I can very clearly hear the hostess say that " all of the rude people are sitting out here today" and she is looking right at me when she says it! I could not believe it. I went to talk to a manager to let him know about the horrible experience we were having and it didn't seem as though he really cared. My husband could see the interaction and told me the guy looked like he was not interested at all. We paid the bill and were leaving when this same rude hostess said, in a sickly sweet voice, to have a nice evening. I cannot believe that anyone raves about this place. We have had so many amazing meals while visiting Ann Arbor, the restaurants to choose from are plentiful. Do not waste your time or money on Zingerman's. It is so overpriced, it is a joke. And I have never been treated in such a disgustingly rude manner, for no reason. We were still being nice even though the place was horrible.

Gtm Auto Repair
I've been using GTM Auto Repair for 5+ years ('07 Volvo V70, '03 Toyota Camry, '10 Honda Odyssey), and love the speed, quality, and price. I am typically a DIY guy, but I can't beat the cost, convenience, and great service from Edgar and his team in West Ann Arbor. He has done all my maintenance and repairs - ignition cylinder, timing belt, water pump, brakes, wheels, lights. He knows exactly what needs to be done, no more, no less. I look forward to continuing to work with him for many more years for all my auto repair needs.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
