Top Dog Express Car Wash & Oil Change
Find a different place to have your car washed. On 7/31/17 I took my wife's car through the automatic wash at the altamonte location. After the wash I found the rear driver's side lower plastic panel had been ripped off. I told the manager about it and he found the plastic panel stuck in the conveyer belt. He offered no information as to their procedure in resolving this. He took pictures of my vehicle and pretty much ignored me. Then he went to attend to getting the car wash operational. He was more concerned with making sure the car wash was working than customer service. I found him and ask him what the procedure was. He acted as if I was bothering him and he just said "I'll call you later, okay". He was trying to get rid of me. I had become a problem and he didn't want to deal with it. I told him I need some documentation with a statement, so he handed me a business card and said "that's me. I'll call you later". I told him no I need a statement. He got frustrated and grabbed a form and wrote on it my name, my phone number, the model and make, the date and for the statement he wrote 2 words, "rocker panel". He handed it to me and again said "I'll call you". I went back to my car at the vacuums and a couple minutes later he walked up with the piece that had been ripped off our vehicle and told me that it had already been damaged and their policy states if the vehicle was already damaged then their not responsible. I told him the vehicle had not been damaged prior to using the car wash and that what he was telling me was unacceptable. He said let me make a phone call and walked away. The he said would call me tomorrow and try to come up with a resolution. I asked him to elaborate on his statement and he wrote "rocker panel came off in car wash. Was already damaged before he came in." The manager at the Altamonte location was unprofessional, unhelpful, rude and lied to my face about calling me back. We will not be going back to any top dog express locations.

Tire Kingdom
It's taken them two hours to patch a tire when I had an appointment. This is a simple fix that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Very disappointing.

Brown's Auto Service
This guy is about as honest as they come. He'll get you the repair you need, not the repair he can gouge you for. He is known and sought after for that exact aspect, My friends and I have been going to him for countless years. It's true that sometimes he can be curt and to the point. A bit rough around the edges at times. Lol. But he's got a consistently large workload, and for good reason. If you're looking to be coddled. This ain't the place for you. But if you want a straight shooter who will give you the repair that you need, even if you think you need a larger more expensive repair. This is your guy. He's saved me tons of money for stuff I didn't need that other places were trying to scam me for. Shocked there aren't more regular customers on here looking out for this guy. This place is honest as can be. 5 stars for honesty. If you look elsewhere, you'll find a wealth of glowing reviews for Brown's.

Midas Auto Service
Just today they tried to take advantage of my wife by charging $326 for a tire. Said it was the lowest price possible. Scumbags. P225 60 Michelin sell for $132 online. Action gator tire is doing it today for $160 tire and installation. Wife is putting this experience on her job bulletin at Florida hospital so none of those hard working individuals get ripped off by those trash that work at Midas. Shady. Disgusting. Foul.

Midas Auto Service
Took my vehicle in 4 plug wires and coils.. they told me that I needed to have my alternator replaced which was news to me.. as my crew was 200 miles away the truck breaks down. Had to pay my guys for the remainder of the day get a rental car and have my truck towed to the nearest mechanic.. the mechanic fix the issue with the alternator that was just installed. I am here at Midas was the bad alternator they installed and they will not give me a refund saying they do not have the money. They cannot put it on my credit card nor can they write me a check he called his big boss and his big boss has nothing tell me either. Said I should have brought the vehicle back to them to have them repair it correctly. They already told me they were not paying tow charges that I have already incurred nor were they going were they going to pay an extra 200 miles of tow charges to get it there shop or the labor I anchored having to pay for the guys being stranded. They won't put money back on my credit card they won't write me a check and the manager is a total moron and does not know what to tell me at all.. they are not even giving me the money for the bad alternator that they installed.. I have sat here for one hour 30 minutes getting them all the information that they wanted from the mechanic that repaired my vehicle the second time and that still is not good enough. If you would like a mechanic to work on your vehicle and not forget any kind of warranty this is definitely the place to go to get screwed over. I am now out of pocket the original repair cost tow charges labor hours for three men and my time and effort bringing this alternator out of my way to them to get a refund and the manager still tells me he does not know what to tell me.. so ridiculous

Valvoline Instant Oil Change
This location is so conveniently located! They are always so quick and the prices are great! Jim and Ryan always give me the best advice, they are friendly and knowledgeable.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
