The other reviews were written 3 years ago, now let me share what I've experienced at Children Anytime just this week. I stopped by with my 5 year old son (thank God I did) and Sasha was there. She was extremely rude and uncaring. I was actually refused care....yes, she told me that she refused to serve me and that I needed to find another daycare right in front of my son. Why? because I told her that it was too extreme to not allow my son to have ORANGE JUICE! They force you to do this "food program" where they don't allow you to bring any food for your child from home...even if it's healthy! They will ONLY "allow" your child to drink plain water or milk...I told her my son won't drink either one of those (I don't myself, yuck). He even made a face when she said it. They don't even believe in serving pizza...a child's favorite, because it's not "good for them." They DO serve pizza and juice at schools for God's sake! I have checked with several other places that have "food programs", and they are not that extreme...orange juice is just fine and most do allow you to bring in food for your child. Children Anytime will let your child go hungry and thirsty! Anywhere else, including my son's VPK school he just went to, as long as you're not sending a can of coke and cotton candy for your child, you're good! I was going to tell Sasha that I don't buy juices that have high fructose corn syrup and I buy a lot of organic, but I got thrown out before I got the chance. I told her that orange juice IS healthy! She didn't want to hear it. My son, like a lot of kids, is a fussy eater and I know what he'll eat and what he won't. He only weighs 38 lbs...far from overweight. Obviously, Sasha has no idea what healthy is and needs to be educated; you can tell she has no kids of her own. I agree that kids shouldn't be living on soda and junk food, but this place is way over the top with their food restrictions! Shame on you Children Anytime.....let the children's parents be the parents and you be the babysitter, okay!!

It's rather unfortunately what "rloveland" said in 2008, but that definitely wasn't my experience. I believe we've been taking our children to Kinderoo since around 2005. First our oldest when she was 2 1/2 until 6 yrs old and our middle child from 2 months until maybe 2. We only stopped taking them because we moved over 20 minutes away and they were unable to pickup the older one from school (too far away!). || The wife & I recently had our third child and decided to make the trip back to our old daycare, even though we had been using ones nearby. We just felt more comfortable with Angela (the owner) and her staff to take care of our newborn. || We always receive tons of feedback from the staff, such as papers showing daily naptimes, feedings, amounts, etc. Angela is always cheery with her english accent greeting us 'hi' and 'goodbye'. We've always felt welcome and always felt more than comfortable with our babies in their care.
My 8 year old son attended summer camp at LYA 2 years ago, and He and I were so pleased with the love and instruction that he received there. When I found out I was pregnant last year, I knew there was no other place for my new baby. My 1 year old son has been at LYA since he was 5 weeks old. The teachers there are amazing. It brings me so much joy to see my son happy to go to day care every morning and be upset to leave every afternoon. Rodney and Maria have made LYA the perfect place for parents to bring their children. I know that when I drop my son off in the morning I do not have to worry about a thing. I would, and have recommended LYA to anyone looking for a loving, instructive, and safe environment to bring their children to.
