Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery
I have been coming to see Dr Robinson for several years. I have always found him to be so knowledgeable about his work and one of the kindest people I have know. Heather does wonderful work and I always feel good when I leave her office. The front office is always so sweet and helpful...shoutout to Molly. And I have just begun going in to see Michelle Giglio who I have found to be very easy to talk to about any concerns I have and offers her expertise to those concerns. She has done a terrific job on everything she has done for me and I expect to be with her for a long time also. To sum it all up, these are a great group of people that know their business and I am glad I was given their name so many years ago.

I had a really great experience here. Dr. Robinson made me feel comfortable with the procedure, and the staff has been incredibly accommodating (especially when I fainted during the removal of my packing!) My nose looks amazing, and I feel very happy with the whole experience. I feel like the only comment I would make is that sometimes I felt a little rushed during my time with the Doctor, but I understand that he is very busy. Overall great.

Michelle is very knowledgeable and friendly. As a Nurse Practitioner I appreciate her clinical experience and product knowledge. Her injection skills are very good and she is very detail focused on the outcome with fillers. She takes time to listen to the patient and get their feedback on the look they desire while keeping results natural looking.

I was initially scared to have this procedure done and thought I would be helpless for about a week but it turned out to be not bad at all. I think I only looked scary for about a day or two. I know this will be different for everyone but that was my 57 year old experience. When finished, I asked what my next procedure should be!

The whole staff is extremely friendly and warm, and Michelle is amazing! She took her time, made sure the numbing cream kicked in and explained the procedure as she went along. Just a really great experience.

Michelle is by far the most talented Dr. administering fillers. I had been to several other offices and was referred here by friends. She is an artist in her choices. Will always trust her judgment.

I was very happy with Michelle and the time she took with me. I feel like she was concerned with the end result and that I would not bruise.

Tips & Advices
Plastic surgery comes from the Greek word “plastikos,” which means “to mold” or “to change.” Plastic surgery is a specialty in the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It includes cosmetic or aesthetic surgery, but also includes reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and burn treatment.
The vast majority of cosmetic surgical procedures occur on an outpatient basis. With more extensive surgery, such as a tummy tuck, a previous health condition, or monitoring is needed, the doctor might require a short hospital stay.
Depending on the procedure, cosmetic surgery can cost anywhere from several -hundred dollars for facial “filler” injections to $20,000 for extensive invasive surgery. In addition to the surgeon’s fee, the patient or insurance company will be responsible for a surgical facility fee, anesthesia, medical tests, prescriptions, surgical garments, and other miscellaneous costs related to surgery.
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the top five cosmetic surgical procedures in 2016 were:
  • Liposuction (414,335 procedures)
  • Breast Augmentation (310,444 procedures)
  • Tummy Tuck (181,540 procedures)
  • Eyelid Surgery (173,883 procedures)
  • Breast Lift (161,412 procedures)
Common nonsurgical cosmetic procedures include Botox injections, laser hair removal, and laser skin resurfacing.
While there is no definitive age minimum or maximum for a given procedure, most doctors won’t operate on minors for cosmetic reasons. Beyond the actual surgery, the risks of general anesthesia should be a major consideration for elderly patients.  Good doctors will advise patients against a procedure they think is unnecessary, carries unwanted risk, or won’t produce the desired outcome.
