Advanced Relocation
Ray and Brian were amazing. Incredibly professional and really knew what they were doing. I was terrified as this was my first big move out of state. I was praying my packing job was good, but I had no idea how it was going to stack up inside a 26' truck, going 2 states away. The guys were great - they took the appropriate amount of time to make sure everything was safe and secure. They did an amazing job wrapping the furniture and loading. They even pointed out a few small issues with the furniture that was pre-existing so I'd know it didn't happen before/after the move and gave me an opportunity to fix it really quick. I didn't know I was supposed to have straps, and Brian called his boss to ask if he could sell me a pack he had brought in his truck. He saved the day!I'm just about done unpacking everything here, and it's safe to say, not 1 piece of broken anything!Thank you so much for getting our entire life safely packed into 1 truck! It means the world to know it's one less thing we have to worry about dealing with. Definitely will be recommending Advanced Relocation!

Advanced Relocation
My family and I move around a lot and all over the country due to my husband's job, and it is nearly always a logistical nightmare. Not this time! From the very first estimate, to the final completion of the move, Advanced Relocation was SO professional, polite, efficient and pleasant to deal with! I was extremely impressed with the high quality and affordable service they provided. I'm a veteran mover and have never moved without something going wrong. When they arrived, they were professional, arrived early and didn't mind that I was slightly grumpy from accidentally packing my coffee maker! They really listened to me and assured all my worries and alleviated any concerns that I had. I can not stop raving about how good they were and how they took care of us during this extremely stressful time. They dodged the children and the pets, and the weird packing system I have, and accommodated us for everything.I know I've found the moving company that we will use for a long time.

I was quite pleased with the service I received from Advanced Relocation. The moving experience was so overwhelming that I didn't know which direction to turn at first!! I called several places for quotes and a friend recommended this company. They were very professional, courteous and prompt. They know the business in a way we dont. On move day, they arrived a little earlier than expected but I like that in a company. I would prefer that than to have them late! All of the workers were professional, not just the boss! These men worked from the time they got there until the time the truck pulled off! They must have eaten their lunch on the way because they pulled up right behind my car. Everything was professionally handled, disassembled and re-assembled. There were no marks on the walls, and most importantly, not ONE THING broken!!! My hats off to this moving company. I will recommend them HIGHLY and call them when I am ready to move into my own house!

Advanced Relocation
I hired Advanced to relocate our furniture from NJ toTX. The salesman we spoke with was very helpful and informative. We placed a deposit on our move to reserve our preferred pickup days. We then heard from our driver who told us when our pickup time was. The guys arrived to us early morning, and got the whole house packed by about 1 pm. They were professional and courteous. They wrapped everything very well before loading our (whole life) into a truck. The delivery came shortly after- I believe it was a 10 day wait from the day of pickup. The items arrived safely, with only one item that incurred a minor scratch on the side. Other than that everything was delivered unharmed which was a big concern for me. The move went exactly as they had specified it would. They did a great job and I am very happy with the final results of the relocation. Thanks for everything Advanced Relocation- we will definitely recommend your moving services in the future.

Advanced Relocation
We had to load our entire house into storage units until we could close on our new home. We hired a team of six men from Advanced Relocation to load the storage units. They handled all the heaviest furniture and boxes, wrapped everything and made sure it will be packed safely and stay protected for a few months. They were the hardest working group of men I'd ever seen and the way they loaded the unit was amazing. One man stationed at the unit, packing it "high and tight" not to waste any room, while the others brought out the furniture from the truck to the loading dock and staged it for him. I was impressed! However, after they left I discovered a small hole in the wall in our staircase. That is the only complaint I have with this crew and company… I was told by my rep’ and the claim department that my issue will be resolved and I will get reimbursed for the cost of repairing the damage. That is what I call professionalism!

For that fact that I am a constant mover, I wonder why I have not been hiring Long Distance Movers for my moves all the while. Honestly, I normally experience damages in my property each time I move due to the unprofessionalism of the guys I do hire for the service. But, the service rendered to me by this wonderful and respectful mover was just great and excellent. Thank you for the wonderful and stress-free service rendered to me. I am aware of the fact that most people are searching for professional movers just as me. However, I have finally found one, Long Distance Movers. They made my move remarkable and exceptional. Their manner towards their job is just seamless. Apart from doing the job which I paid for, they went ahead doing the ones I am supposed to do. More so, they made me to enjoy the perfect work they do. Thank you so much for the service.

I just used Advanced Relocation for a move to Denver. From the moment I contacted them they were professional, courteous and responsive. I was given an accurate quote over the phone and They showed up on time with two movers. I had to store my belongings on the trucks for two nights due to my closing schedule. In the end, I came in below my quoted price. Each person on the job came up to me, introduced themselves and shook my hand. They were all courteous, helpful and actually cheerful the entire job. The best way i can describe it was as an old school customer service experience. All of our items were wrapped extensively and moved with care. Everything arrived intact and the team set everything back up and made sure we were happy before heading out. I would not hesitate to refer Advanced Relocation to handle your move. Outstanding!

Advanced Relocation
Advanced Relocation just completed a move for us that was challenging - we had nearly 200 pieces of original, museum-quality furniture, nearly 75 pieces of delicate ceramics and a number of original paintings. Everything was in my deceased brother-in-law's home in NY and needed to be moved to Oregon. The museum movers we contacted were out-of-sight expensive, but Advanced Relocation was very reasonable. We took extra insurance, but, it turns out we didn't need to. Everything was very carefully and thoroughly wrapped, they boxed many more items that we expected them to and everything was loaded and unloaded with great care. Not a scratch and no chips or cracks in the ceramics. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and personable and professional. We highly recommend Advanced Relocation!

I inquired online about moving to Florida, I got random bids from several long distance carriers. After reading about many stories of horrible moving experiences, I was very skeptical. One comment lead me to the US Dept. of Transportation website where I was able to research some of the companies that had been calling. I found that the majority of the companies that gave me quotes weren’t actually carriers at all, but brokers! Advanced Relocation however, is legitimate. After checking out some of their reviews, I was sold!!! The salesperson was very helpful and my furniture arrived on time with no damages. The movers set everything up for me! I don't normally write reviews but with all the horror stories out there, I figured this could save someone from choosing the wrong company.

Advanced Relocation
Everyone at Advanced Relocation was wonderful to work with. We had to close on our current house and our new house the same day and didn't know what to do. Taylor informed us of our options so we chose to have them pick up our belongings the day before the closings and deliver the next afternoon. It was a great solution for us. Dennis and the rest of the crew couldn't have been more polite and professional. As promised, they arrived after our closing on our new house to deliver. They were so organized and were done by dinner time with our beds put together and all the boxes in the right rooms. Advanced Relocation really made an extreemly stressful time for me and my family much easier for us. As a bonus, the cost came in $200 below the estimate!! Thanks to all of you!
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
