My basement floor drain was flooding whenever the kitchen sink was emptied. They would have came right a way but I told them it could wait until I took off from work. Around a half an hour before the appointment I got a call telling me the service tech's name and that he was on his way. Ken was very professional and friendly. The drain didn't have a clean out but he was able to work the snake past the trap and cleared the blockage. I would recommend Schuler Service and plan on using them for my future plumbing needs.

I called with a clogged toilet and Schuler Service came as I requested. John Parenti was the gentleman who came to service my toilet and explained everything before he started. He also wore shoe coverings to protect my floors! Great start!! Within minutes, he had solved the problem. I was delighted with John and the service I received. I will not hesitate to call Schulers again and reccomend them to my firends. Thank you for a job well done!

Called Schuler Friday July 1, about 3:30, asking for help to unplug our drain lines clogged with green, leafy veggies. About 4:55 Jason S. arrived and assessed the situation, laid down a tarp under the sink and proceeded to use the 'machine' to auger out the clog. In about an hour and 15 minutes he had our drain lines cleared and water flowing again. This was the 4th time we used Schuler and highly recommend Schuler Services.

I was trying to repair a leaky toilet and replaced the flush valve assembly myself, but a day later the tank started leaking. Your service technician John Parenti quickly identified the problem -- I hadn't mounted the tank onto the bowl properly -- and he fixed it. He was friendly and very patient with me and took the time to explain what he was doing and why.

Great service. Called and let me know when they were coming. Gave me an hour window instead of 8 to 12 once they got ahold of me. They were prompt, fair, and professional. Am definitely going to keep using them. Highly recommend.

Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
