I just had some landscaping done by Freddy and his crew and my wife and I could not be happier with the results. We have been looking for a landscaper for two years and either they never got back to us or thier prices were outrageous. Freddy got back to us right away and submitted his estimate soon after speaking with us on what we wanted. His prices were reasonable compared to others and the work was worth every penny. He removed all of our existing bushes and flowers and added new flowers and trees we selected from a nursery with him We also had two fence panels added in the back for privacy. They cleaned up all around our trees and added mulch and rocks. In the end, the house looked absolutely incredible. We would definitely be calling Freddy back for our next project.Jose R, Macungie PA

I needed (6) trees removed that were close to the roofline of my house & they took care of all that in 1 day.Overall Freddy and his crew did a great job, worked professionally & safely!I was a bit disappointed when he had to cancel & move back my scheduled appointment by 1 day. Other than that, they were very knowledgeable in their craft, and they were reasonable in their price.I would recommend them anytime!

We contacted Freddy for firewood. Freddy was very professional and explained the different woods and years of drying times that he had available for us and also, helped me to decide what was best for our purposes. I was very happy with the service he provided. All in all, a good, honest, hard working guy and very personable. I would HIGHLY recommend S.F.H. Landscaping.

He did exactly as promised for a very reasonable price. Thoroughly removed all the trash and overall was very concerned with our happiness. I would definitely recommend his work.

I have had Freddy come twice to my house. Both times the house looks emaculate when he gets done. I should take pictures. Give him a call if you need any kind of landscaping work done. He is also in the roofing and siding business . I am thinking of having him do my roof. He gave me an estimate when he came to do the landscaping job.

Sunrise Diner
on a comparison level with other local diners and the food......hey....Sunrise is one of the top dogs.Compare their breakfasts....each time...same delicious plate, price isn't cheaper anywhere, and the waitress's and management very sociable and courteous....Cannot say enough good things.
Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there’s no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
